Very small city, industrial. The streets are empty even on Friday and Saturday evening. All shops are closed. A lot of thugs and suspicious persons are sitting in the centre bored and doing nothing.
Might be dangerous if you are a woman and travel alone in the evening.

To be honest, I was there for a football match.
To be honest, I was there for a football match. I met a young lad from Bern, Switzerland who was also going to the football, so we went together.
After the game, which finished around 2200 we headed for the Altstadt. We didn't find it and at that time of night, there was nobody around, so we gave up. I left by train the next morning so cant really give an honest opinion on the town.
A bit off the Main River when biking but we’ll worth the extra 2km.. Very nice hotel with all modern features and fixtures. The staff was outstanding. Friendly reception , great locked bike storage garage , lovely garden are for sitting or dining . Our room #107 was very clean, bright and modern . Bathroom was also very clean with great shower water pressure .
On site restaurant was very nice with a very readable price point .
Breakfast was great with hot and cold food options.
Amazingly reasonable price point for this high quality hotel
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is the best located in Schweinfurt and has a "family spirit".
I like the bar and the restaurant.
I live in Schweinfurt and had to accommodate my family for a few days. The choice of the hotel Ross was obvious.
Very convenient. As advertised a small boutique hotel.
Met staff in the morning as I arrived later in the evening. Very welcoming! Wasn’t able to enjoy their breakfast even though it smelled amazing and looked it as well.
If you want to stay downtown in Schweinfurt, this is an affordable choice. Nothing special about this hotel, except for its city-center location. So, you can easily walk to everything downtown. Hotel rooms had the basics.
It's a good hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms are really high up in an enormous building, so they have good views -- but as Schweinfurt is quite ugly, that's a mixed blessing. Staff were nice, price was good.
The gym that is located in same building is included for free for guests, which was a nice bonus. The hotel elevator floors are locked to room key access, so added security.
Clean, large, modern room in a great location. Staff was very friendly, and the hotel offers safe parking for bicycles. Free bottle of water is also a nice touch.
