Mcleodganj is a beautiful place if you have a love for the mountains and scenery. Some must-visit places include the Dalai Lama Temple, Bhagsunag Temple & waterfall, and the sunset point. If you are a food enthusiast I would recommend trying wheat momos and laphing. If you have some spare days, you must go on one of the infamous Triund trek surrounded by the Dhauladhar ranges and a beautiful scenery of snow-covered mountains on one side and the cloud-covered village on the other.Jahnavi - 10Scored 10

It's always a joy to be back in McLeodganj and walk upto Triund and enjoy the serenity of the Tibetan people and the tranquil nature. There are lots of nearby getaways and also monasteries to visit. February is a great month to visit as the days are warm and evenings are pleasant.

I really liked Nadi castle but McLeod Ganj was quite busy and stressful compared to the serene quieter neighbouring areas. We had 5+ days in the area and realized later that we would have been happier staying more of that time in Bhagsu, which is a better price performer with lots of accessible activities and about 1-2km (uphill) from McLeodganj.

The vibe of the place is great. Dharamshala (20-30 mins) is a skyway ride away. There are multiple sights and attractions you can visit around the area like Bhagsu and Gallu waterfalls, Triund trek, Dharamkot, Mcledganj market for shopping, and many cafés around the place with a multitude of eating options (veg, vegan, non-veg, and a variety of cuisines as well).
