Breda is a peaceful, wonderful place where you can relax, take long walks in the nature, along the river, in the woods, on the fields. There are very good restaurants and pubs in Breda, friendly people everywhere. Nothing and nobody disturbs you ever! We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. Compared to Amsterdam f.e. it lacks all the tourist attraction, so no canals or coffee shops. a bit plain, typical dutch.

Nice pups and restaurants. Easy shopping, good quality shops. Rent a hotel in the centre or rent a car. No trams in the city, like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hotels in the city can be expensive, just because they are in the city. But not necessarily good.

It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment. I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. A fantastic visual and physical blend of the original building features with cool modern design. It's a building with a colourful history! Staff are super-friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. Room was cosy and interesting. I was there during lockdown, so the restaurant and bar weren't open, but I can't wait to go back when they are and properly check them out! This will be my default hotel when staying in Breda for sure!

For dogs the environment is more than ok, they could run on the property together with the owners dogs (even a basin to swim is there). The house is easy to approach (not far away from a highway but still quiet) and a bit outside of town. A Chinese restaurant by the way is in walking distance.SigridAustria

The appointment was early in the morning, so I needed to come up the night before. This hotel was the closest pet-friendly hotel to the vet clinic. There was an extra fee for her (I am never sure why that should be, but oh well!). The staff was very welcoming.
