A step back in time!
A step back in time! Small historic town, traditional butcher, baker and greengrocer, independent shops. Very friendly helpful locals. I can recommend The New Inn for great evening meals at reasonable prices. Be prepared to travel some very narrow windy lanes in this area though!

We did not see anything of Beaminster.
We did not see anything of Beaminster. It was only a one night stop over. The town looked pretty and there are things to see and do in the neighborhood. Will visit again and would stay at the Ollerod again. Had an excellent dinner at the Ollerod.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent and varied. The facilities are simple enough but good. Very nice bar, restaurant and walled garden areas. The hotel's location is quite off the beaten track but Beaminster is a great starting-point from which to explore all areas of Dorset, as well as being an attractive place in itself with many local walks and attractions.

It is within easy reach of the sea and the Jurassic coast. The property is not far from the centre of town. The cottage is on a single level, well designed to offer all facilities within a simple rectangular footprint. Access to a well-maintained garden is permitted. The bed was very comfortable - the house seems so warm we would have been quite happy with a lighter duvet! Everything was as you'd wish for, along with some thoughtful touches. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
