We liked Nothing about the Lodge or surroundings if you are happy to have WEEDS around your lodge and DUSTBINS as a view and don't mind being behind a Hostel and Undertaker, then go for it. The lodge was not equipped for 3 audults, very small, we found 1 frying pan 1small pot, there was no brush to sweep floor, the kitchen units are dated and not fitted well. The showers were tiny. To Sum up initially looks good, but very poor on closer inspection. This is without a doubt nothing but a WORKHORSE TO MAKE as much money out of the guests who stay at this property. Whoever owns this property needs to get their act together as the 6 lodges are no more than an extension to the hostel. GIVE THIS PROPERTY A WIDE BERTH For 4 uncomfortable nights we paid just under £1200, and I do intend to take this matter further with the owner.AA.

Broadford is a boring "wide spot in the road" with little to "recommend" it. The highlight is the bus transfer station AND THE ONLY Co-Op full service grocery store...be sure and stop...few or no other choices. Keep on going...the scenery and driving on Skye are all better away from Broadford.

Beautiful location, very attractive little village, lots of places to stay and eat especially in season. Good starting point for all the trips we made over three days. Hebridean Inn best for food but Broadford Hotel worth a visit.

Broadford is well situated for a visit to Skye and also to take the wee ferry to Glenelg in the summer. It is a very small town with a couple of restaurants, a chip shop, a co-op and nice places to walk a dog by the shore.

That the place we chose, the Cottar was just the sort of cottage for us-simply furnished with not too many mod cons, making us feel that our carbon footprint wasnt too high and that the cottage reflected the beautiful natural surroundings.
The view over to Scalpay was superb. The cottage was so near the sea that we were able to launch our kayak easily and just step into the water for a swim.

Isle of Skye was a stunning place to visit and experience the incredible natural beauty of Scotland
The Hebridean Inn was centrally located close to the Skye Bridge and on a main access route into the Isle. Restaurants are in close proximity and the major tourist attractions are a short drive away. It is an ideal place from which to explore or hike.
Beautiful views from the dining room of Skye and little harbour with boats.
Dining room is set out lovely, and a nice little touch, such as the scallop shells with butter on the table.
Excellent service from the staff, very attentive, helpful, friendly.
Really nice comfortable lounge area with bar.
Very clean. The hotel is quirky.
I had to change room because of a noisy fan but it was sorted out efficiently by the reception staff and the second room was a lot better.
We arrived in the dark on the first night and it was so lovely as the accommodation was warm and cosy with literally everything we needed.
It was just magical to wake up and be so close to the water which gave us the opportunity to really be out in the open air!
Perfect accommodation to stay whilst on Isle of Skye and differently would highly recommend this to future travellers
It's a hostel, likely more comfortable for the under-30 crowd. Short walk from Broadford bus stop. Interesting and diverse crowd; many languages. Staff is great. Rooms basic but decent. Shared bathrooms clean and numerous. Common kitchen and eating area far superior to most "nice" hotels and B&Bs. If you're ready for the hostel experience, this is a very good place.
We abandoned our AirBnB to go here for one night as a stepping stone to get to Stirling. The night we came in the staff at the front desk and the bar were super friendly. We had great service at the bar even though we arrived while they were shutting down and cleaning up for the night. Morgan made us feel at home and helped us out with selecting gins to try.
Such an amazing house in a wonderful location! We loved out stay there. The rooms were so cosy and comfortable and every detail was thought of. The welcome basket of bread, biscuits, eggs, fudge, milk, juice etc was so thoughtfully put together, and the views from the house were just spectacular! Perfect location to explore Skye. We were very sad to leave.
Wonderful experience. The cottage was cosy, functional, and a great place to experience the great outdoors of the Isle of Skye. Eoin, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and extra information about the island and its culture. There is no wifi, but I loved the small library.
Staying in the Cottar was a unique experience.
Lovely room. We had a twin bed + shared bathroom - not much left on Isle of Skye during the busy season!
Beds were pretty short, and the room was very much an attic and the roof was sloped. Just be aware if you're quite tall. Nice breakfast - very very big breakfast! Was a struggle hiking after it!!
It's indeed a spacious house, so comfortable with beautiful view. Was welcomed with a basket of goodies and fruits from the host. Kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking. Coffee and tea provided. Location was good to explore Skye. Highly recommend. Perfect for a group of friends/family.
Everything! This place was VERY nice for the price. Honestly I’m surprised how cheap it was compared to anything else on Skye. You get major value for your money. The hosts are amazing too, and the facilities are well built and extremely clean/new. A+ would recommend to everyone.
The location is easily accessible specially after a long drive to Skye , with many shops and service station at broadford . Also the hot tub is amazing to help relax after a long day of many thousand steps , and can not forget the complimentary drinks 😁.
I loved many things about staying at The Skye Picture House. Gorgeous waterfront views, spacious, clean, comfortable room. modern amenities with a homey feel. The Skye Picture House porridge is the best that I have ever had!
The House of Juniper is a very nice and well located hotel at the Isle of Skye.
The room was very stylish and comfortable. We got a tasty breakfast delivered to our room and used the sauna.
common area is good, lovely view, garden area, coffee and tea provided. lovely staff who give us maps of Isle of Skye with personal tips what to visit. Price was great for night stay.
Wr liked everything about Skerrols, Broadford and Skye. I wrote a more comprehensive review last year - this is our 2nd visit which should tell you all you need to know!
