Lovely sand beach on the Bay, where we swam. Cafes, pubs, restaurants all nearby. You can walk along the various beach front paths - either north to Whitley Bay or south to Tynemouth. There's also a cycle route along this coast. We ate at The Queens Head and at The Salt House - both very good. As was the fish&chip shop

Coastline is fabulous ,beaches beautiful.
Coastline is fabulous ,beaches beautiful. Cullercoats is a good central point with towns easily accessible by bus and Metro. Flat walking for miles along the front, lots of seating on the way. Cullercoats has a Co-op and several really nice coffee shops ,a pub and a W.M. Club. The local chippie -Billy's was awful, really bad. A small resort joined up to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay but with a lot of. character.
