This is a lovely location. It is less than an hour from the Edinburgh airport. We arrived in Edinburgh & stayed in New Scone to get a head start on the next day's driving to Pitlockery & Balmoral. Worked out great. Scone Palace is 10 minutes away.

The staff were very nice and the restaurant food was delicious. Shame the breakfast let it down as the scrambled eggs were all wet and full of juice not soft and fluffy. Pity about the fridge in the bedroom kept us awake all night. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
I had a full Scottish Breakfast which I thoroughly enjoyed. The interior of the hotel is completely new and completely up to modern standards. The room was a good size for 2 people and the en suite toilet and shower was roomy too.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and quite chatty if you joined in a conversation with them. The food was good there were several beers on draught. All in all I was lucky to pick the Scone Arms.
The breakfast was the only thing that let the hotel down. The scrambled eggs were all wet and runny ( not edible) I expected them to be soft and fluffy but they were wet and soggy. Sausages were very pale and undercooked. Everything else was fine. I told the girl on breakfast to relay the info on the eggs back to the chef, as I would like to stay again.
Warm welcome. Choice of good bar or restaurant. Impeccably clean, fresh room, comfortable bed, food was superb. Price wise we’ve paid more for a lot less. Due to Covid we’ve used a lot of staycation hotels in Scotland for short breaks. Without doubt this is one , if not the best
This is a lovely hotel. Great location. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Staff were great. Service was wonderful. The breakfast had variety & tasted great. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean & comfortable. The surrounding village made for a wonderful early stroll.
a lovely welcome when I arrived and shown to the room
