Lovely little place.
Facilities good. Plenty of little shops and pubs and cafes.
Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special.
Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby.
We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

The property is not in Sleaford itself.
The property is not in Sleaford itself. It’s in a village called Ewerby. The hotel has lots of history which is detailed in a book in the room. There are also many photos scattered around showing how it used to look. Ewerby is a lovely quiet village with a church, a pub and some pretty houses. It was nice for a short stroll. Sleaford itself is a short drive away along country lanes. Sleaford is a much bigger town with a high street packed with shops. There was a nice river there and you could stroll along the banks viewing all the wildlife.

there are some lovely old buildings and at least 2 churches (which we did not go into). We very much enjoyed a walk along the River Slea and ended up at a water mill which was sadly closed. we were quite saddened that a lack of town planning from years ago meant that some rather ugly buildings spoiled the look of some beautiful old buildings. we particularly liked The Alms Houses.
We ate in the hotel twice and found the food to be delicious. The Sunday roast was particularly tender

Sleaford is a quiet rural town in Lincolnshire situated on the crossroads of A15 & A17. It has plenty of places to eat and is well-serviced by train and bus routes. Access to many of the aviation historical sites are within easy reach
The hotel is quirky but nice. Yes, it's in above a lively bar and music plays each night until closing time but as a I was there to see friends, I was out and about most evenings/nights of my stay. Those nights I was back before closing, the music could be heard but was not a problem at all and my room overlooked the yard bar area.
I absolutely loved this place! It was really lovely and I'm so happy I stumbled upon the listing. The location was great. It was easy to find and parking was not a problem. There were lovely touches throughout and lots of information for the cottage and surrounding areas.
The best thing about this hotel was the music! A live jazz piano in the evening and calm, quiet music at breakfast. So wonderful not to have bass music thumping out from speakers. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable.
Wide range of cereal and fruit available, plenty of snacks, tea and coffee and infused drinks in room, more than you could expect. Better than some 5star hotels. I would highly recommend and if needed will certainly stay again.
location was fantastic, my English family had joked about Sleaford being in the middle of no ware but actually worked out great, Sleaford is a beautiful market town close to Linkon and trains 1hr to london and york
The room was spacious and bed very comfortable.. the food in the bar was exceptional.. deffo would recommend the yard large breakfast.. beautifully presented and a great amount of food
An absolute gem of a place for a short stay in Sleaford - clean, modern, comfortable with everything you need. Great communication from the hosts, easy access and central location.
Perfect location, comfortable beds, super power shower, courteous friendly helpful Manager Shannon, I will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend!
