Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.

Wow, what a place.
Wow, what a place. I got off the train and got a cab for 6 euros to the town. Although the old part of the town is stunning, there were not many tourists there during the day, so could photograph without crowds and go straight into places. Meals down side streets were tasty and good value at around 12 euros (including a glass of beer and a small desert). You pay more in the main Plazas, but would not say the food is better. The modern bit of the town has all the shops and is busy in the evenings. Bus station is a short taxi ride away and can get you to Merida, which is worth a visit for roman architecture. I was really struck about how kind and helpful local people were here, perhaps it was because I was on my own and not so young. Worth learning some Spanish to communicate a bit with people.
Very central to Cáceres. The owner has thought of every need and was very attentive. It is a small basement apartment so no views overlooking the city but actually, in a hot city, it is brilliant for keeping cool and quiet when you are in it. It is in the centre of the old part of Caceres and its historic buildings. It is very close to Cáceres's vibrant town square which is also a lovely place to have breakfast. Parking available in hotel nearby.
We stayed in Caceres for a day so we were looking for a nice apartment in the centre of the city that would enable us to see all the major sights. Glad we booked the el patio apartments. Very clean, excellent interior design and super comfortable bed! On top of this Christina, our host, shared with us tips regarding good restaurants in the area and was attentive to our needs.
The room was so clean and fresh with good linen and towels - and I loved having a duvet instead of the usual heavy blankets. Only a few minutes walk to get to the wonderful old city of Caceres but, because the hotel is not on a main road it was really quiet and peaceful at night
Jorge the host/manager is great with information and help with taxis etc.
Great hotel, very large and very well located in the city centre, close to the historical area. Friendly and efficient staff. Large, comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast choice! Convenient parking facilty though a bit difficult to find the right place in the parking. Really, a great place to stay in Caceres!
Enyire house. Very spacious. 2 bathrooms. 2 rooms upstairs have own ac unit. the ac unit in the living room cools both living room and the bedroom downstairs. Nice terrace where we dried our clothes. easy check in ( owner left keys and called me to explain how to find them). easy 10 mind walk to Main Square of Caceres.
This was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed at during out trip though Spain and Portugal. Room was large well set up, very lovely and upscale. It was extremely comfortable and very relaxing. It was a great choice with parking right downstairs and access via an elevator. I would definitely stay here again!
Located in an interesting and historic area that could do with more multi lingual historical notes on the buildings, as usual in Spain people appear late in the evening and the place livens up. Pleasant to stroll around and exactly as expected, text book features for the period.
A lovely family run hotel just around the corner from the Plaza Mayor. The room was lovely and the family/staff also lovely and really helpful. This hotel is a great place to be based to explore wonderful Cáceres. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Rooms are big enough and the şocation is very centric. The hotel basically located in the historic city center. Room vas very clean, there was complimentary coffee which was nice. Staff was helpful and there was a lot pf restaura ts and cafes around.
A fantastic place to relax and unwind after a long drive down through Spain . Yes it’s a little pricey but still good value for the standard of accommodation.
When you sit at the pool bar at sunset all the troubles of the day just evaporate.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. EXCELLENT CHOICE. LOVELY ROOM. VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY PERSONNEL AND OWNERS. VERY GOOD BREAKFAST. THE HOTEL IS FACING THE CENTRAL SQUARE OF CACERES. PARKING PLACE IN ANOTHER HOTEL VERY CLOSE FOR 10 EUROS.
The location was easy off and on for our route; the inside of the property is cared for and maintenance staff were busy repainting. It’s a super hotel very close to the university and is a student style & comfort hotel.
A great hotel, wonderfully placed in the center of Caceres. Modern facilities. Rooms a bit small though. Comfortable bed, quiet at night. Very good to relax after a long journey.
Bedroom very clean & comfortable. Greeting by gentleman on reception on arrival was very friendly & welcoming. Hotel close to Caceres’ amazing heritage site. Would recommend
