Great little town, the beach full of kite surfers when we arrived & was a sight to see. Very sweet small old town, clean, cute shops, excellent eateries including Powerhouse bakery & dinner at Axta- superb! Very walkable, views for sunset over the sea, Morocco in the distance. Low key in feb & most enjoyable.

Tarifa is a very unique place with a super relaxed and good vibe. If you want to explore the coast line it's a great base, easy to park cars outside the old town walls. There are various dunes and historic sites to visit within 1 hour of the city as well as view points from various locations with unbeatable views of the coastline and seeing Morocco which is pretty special. For eating, there is an amazing Italian Restaurant highly recommended called La Trattoria. I am Italian and the pasta was very good quality for Spain. There are also lovely restaurants beyond the port along the beach and in the area just outside the old town walls towards this direction. It is easy to walk around the city and there is plenty of shopping in boutique shops as well as surfer/sports shops. Huge amount of water sports activities on offer too.

A very atmospheric old town with lots of bars, restaurants and eateries where everyone will find something for themselves (great meat at Brasería Vaca Loca ;)
Great beaches, even those located right next to the city center.
Clean and safe.
Very nice people.
Very nice people everywhere ;)
Possibility to visit the castle.
For groups, after prior reservation, it is possible to visit the island of Tarifa.
We particularly loved the central location right in the middle of the old town. You could feel the history in the place. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep and just a short walk to the beach. Great roof terrace with plenty of space. The flat had a good layout for a family of four. Having two bathrooms was also very useful. Conchi was just a WhatsApp away to answer any questions we had. The perfect place to base yourself in Tarifa - we will be back!
Second time I’ve stayed at Kook, and it just gets better. Wonderful location right in the old town so perfect for exploring Tarifa. The rooms are cosy and clean and beautifully designed. The hotel is run with thought and care, the staff are super kind and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and service here is good. And of course the design and decor of the hotel is just amazing! Don’t forget to enjoy a pre dinner drink on the roof terrace. Just beautiful!
Tarifa Cozy House offers well equipped apartment complex with own yard, spacious living room, three terraces and three bed rooms. The house is located in a quite location super close to the sea. Running tracks and basketball court are next to the house. Old town of Tarifa a close walking distance of 10-15 minutes. We were 3 persons and arrived to Tarifa for kitesurf and travel around Andalusia. Just go for it!
The room was really nice. The bed was super comfortable and my bathroom had a big shower. A TV screen, too, though I did not use it. The hotel is located right in Tarifa old town. Perfect spot to explore the bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs and everything else. The place is owner managed. He is a real chilled and friendly guy. Grab a coffee at the coffee bar inside the hotel in the morning.
We stayed in Tarifa a couple of days and this place was in the best location ever, just outside the old town, and close to the beach (both playa Chica and Los Lances). The room was very clean, although tiny but had just enough space for what we needed (we didn't have a lot of luggage), beds were comfy and staff was friendly and helpful). There is an amazing view from the terrace, too!
Very nice, modern hotel on the Atlantic side of Tarifa. If you prefer a wide, often almost empty beach (not easy to come by in southern Spain) to staying in the old town, the location is perfect. Staff very friendly, good breakfast, comfy. I had a minor problem in my room, which however they immediately sent up a competent technician to fix.
It's a great location, a good 20/25 minute walk into the lovely old town area, with a panoramic view of the beach! The pool and gardens are well kept.Walkable to supermarket as long as not carrying packs of water! Tarifa's restaurants are outstanding value for money. Antonio was very helpful and met us within 5 minutes of arriving!
Room was very clean, spacious, and new-looking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to old Town and walkable distance to Port and also to bus station. Very nice place! Tarifa has enough sites of interest to occupy a few days, even if you're not into kite surfing. It is very windy!
Perfectly located for the beach (5 min walk) and old town (5 min walk). The rooftop terrace is amazing but be prepared for the stairs to the apartment! Host was very helpful. And most importantly, the apt is dog friendly! Would definitely stay again!
Fabulous location for beach and old town. Free parking nearby. Friendly staff. Superior room with terrace on top floor...very private and secure. Great spot for exploring Tarifa...lots of restaurants etc on the doorstep
Beautiful and unique property in the heart of the old town. Our host, Serafin, was absolutely charming and so interesting to chat with. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Highly recommend this special property!
Modern hotel with indoor and outdoor pools (open!!), and close to the beach.
Decor in the room and in public spaces beautiful and quirky. Room superb, comfy bed, great bathroom.
Short walk to Tarifa old town.
The location was close to Port tarifa and to all the restaurants and shops in old town.
This is a person less hotel, so the codes for the front door and room where sent to us electronically.
Great vibe, everyone was super chill and very family oriented. Very generous, communal style main house and kitchen. Awesome location from the beach and close to old town Tarifa.
Host was very responsive and apartment seem to be cleaned, location was awesome just few steps away from old town, those are the only positive things I can say about this place
