Pakostane is a very calm and friendly village. Not crowded at all. There are some nice restaurants offering excellent food.
There are quite a few offerings for excursions around Murter and Kornati and to see some dolphins.

Its a small village with a lot of pebble beaches and pine forests. There're a lot of tourists during summer and everything is crowded, but you can still find a spot on the beach under a pine tree on on some rock. There're a lot of relaxation spots, restaurants and camps.
The village almost completely lacks public transport - there's just one bus stop on the Adriatic highway for intercity buses, and it's far from all the beach locations. If you get there without a car, you should be expected to walk a lot on your feet, and you'd notice that most streets don't have sidewalks.

Pakostane was a lovely town and had everything needed for a great holiday. Prices were very reasonable when eating or drinking out and lot's of choice. Great for renting boats/jet skies or wanting to try out water sports.

We were there during peak August season on a busy weekend. So the beach was very crowded and not great. It's suppose to be about 80% less crowded during off season. However, if you walk 15 minutes or take a bike, scooter, or car, you can get to some less crowded beach areas. Also if you rent a boat there are plenty of islands and coves to explore. I liked the town of Biograde nu moru better which is 15 minutes away, or Sibenik.

Rather small village but still with enough shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors and night life :).
Beaches - small stones, not always well rounded and quite close also big stones inhabited by sea urchins - be careful.
We liked it a lot there.
Everything! Set in a great location 10 minutes walk from the centre of Pakostane. Site still under development but didn’t matter at all, everything thats been completed so far finished to a very high standard with an amazing pool. Property was well equipped throughout. We took our 17 month old son and had everything we needed, high chair, cot, bath and even a box of toys. The outside space was fantastic to eat and very comfortable to relax on an evening. Would highly recommend to anyone, we loved our stay!
Nice, warm young host. Very clean accomodation, on the second floor the quite big terrace with the nice view of sea (the better would have been if tops of 2 trees cut) plus the super kitchen (both shared but only for 4 rooms), close to the Pakostane centre, to the closest beach -straight only 350m slightly down, many beaches of both side, some islends, Biograd -7km, the sweet bigest in Croatia lake Vrana-2km (bike route around 40km), I recommend to rent a bike, SUP and kayak. I wish to come back.
We booked this lovely hotel before coming back from two weeks in Croatia and we loved it.
The restaurant makes you feel like you are in this medieval hall and the food was excellent. The staff was great from reception to restaurant, couldn’t ask for more.
The highlight was definitely the private jacuzzi, sauna and shower. It comes as an additional charge of 150 kunas each person for 1h30min, but it was totally worth it for the privacy and relaxation before a bottle of red wine at the bar.
The food choices were fantastic with varied meals each evening. Lunch and breakfast were the same each day pretty much but still lots of choice. The resort itself is fantastic with so much to do, you're spoilt for choice, and the booking system is really easy. The location is great and the staff are friendly. Only a short 10 minute walk to Pakostane town where you can find excursions, beach and plenty of restaurants/cafes. There's a lovely bakery on route to the town.
What a wonderful find in Pakostane, a compact apartment a few steps from private pool with a spacious covered veranda, a supermarket, bakery van, veg stall and a couple of restaurants close by.
If you ever want to leave the veranda (!) you can easily walk to Pine Beach, Punta beach or into the town centre in 10-15 minutes where there is equipment to rent, cafes, bars and eateries aplenty.
5 star experience. Staff, cleaning, breakfast, terrace, villa’s set-up, looks: it was all great! The whole team is taking service and hospitality to the next level! Village and beach is within 15-20 mins walk. Semi-private pool. Wellness is amazing. In one word excellent - we would recommend this hotel any time! Thanks for an wonderful stay team Villas Grammar Resort!
The apartment was well equipped with appliances and there was nothing I could think of that wasn't available for use. Aside from that, the caringly decorated interior distanced me from that typical apartment experience and made me feel at home from the get-go. Quiet nights in were as desirable as exploring Pakoštane and its plentiful surroundings.
Everything was great! The room was cozy and very clean, just like on the pictures! The big plus is thd location, in the center of Pakoštane, just near fhe beach, store, restaurants and caffe bars! Lanlord Ana was super kind and sympathetic! We even checked in earlier as we asked so I highly recomend Villa Lena and we'll come back for sure!
Very nice hotel in front of the beach. Our room had two big beds with a balcony, it had also a refrigerator and air conditioning. The breakfast was very good for a very fair price. The best part was the service, we were always well treated and my whole family was very happy staying in this hotel.
Great hosts and great apartment, enough for a family with 3 kids or two couples. It has got everything, washing machine, dishwasher, aircon, full kitchen, etc. Bit far from the sea, but in Pakostane that only means 10 minutes walking, and the neighborhood is quiet.
I highly recommend to stay here. We started for 12 nights and we didn't want to leave. Excellent location, approx. 5-10 mins to town center/beaches/supermarkets. It was really clean and nice place. Marina, the owner, is the nicest person we have ever met.
The host was very nice, always helpuf. Villa is about 400m from Pine beach (daily visitor's) entrance.
Apartment was big enough, with small kitchen, basically everything you'd expect in this price range.
Parking available in the property (around 4 spots)
Comfortable beach house with exceptional location direct on the Janice Beach. Incredible view to the sea. Very good equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven. Best place in Pakostane for young active family..
Super nice owners.
Very nice bungalows, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, great covered porch.
Beautiful sea view from the onsite restaurant.
Close to the center of Pakostane and to the beach.
Large parking.
Top place in Pakostane near Pine Beach. Appartments are super clean, spacious & you’ll find anything you need (including dishwasher & washing machine). As a bonus, home owners are the nicest people!
Hotel located in old building, but rooms are modern. . We had to leave early and the restaurant made a really nice breakfast box to take with us! The restaurant is very good.
A nice apartment in close vicinity to the beach. Free parking on the spot, nice terrace, kind host. The village of Pakostane is a very pretty place to spend your vacation.
It was a beautiful and historic hotel. We loved everything about it. The food from the restaurant was very tasty, and the included breakfast was great.
