It's a beautiful, historic city, with fantastic local restaurants and cafes, stunning parks, and very clean and quiet. My favourite thing about the old town is that it's all cobblestones and austrian-style buildings with no car access. Perfect to walk around in. Even the streets by larger roads feel quiet, and it's so picturesque and green, it's wonderful to walk in.

Great old town and very nice small castle.
Great old town and very nice small castle. Good for walks, sitting in cafes, reading books, going to restaurants, visiting the cinema and going to small bars.
Not at all overcrowded by tourists (in late September) from various countries.
Very nice place to travel to.

This is a great day trip from Zagreb that is easily booked by bus. The old town core is well maintained and has significant architecture, charming terraces and cafes, and can be nicely covered in 1-2 days if you’d like to enjoy an overnight as I did.

Varazdin is a beautiful small town.
Varazdin is a beautiful small town. The appartment is situated in the ground floor with one main living room (and entrance hall) with kitchen, sleeping room, bathroom and wc. It is very comfortable with a lovely backyard. You can use a table with chairs outside, however, you must tolerate people coming to a small shop on the opposite side of your door. They are not many. The owners are very kind and willing to help.

It is a small town but very nice, with cozy atmosphere and peaceful streets. People are friendly and easy to talk to. Everything is very clean. They respect nature and have beautiful forests, lakes and mountains around the town, with castles to visit. Restaurants have a wide variety of menus, good food.

A beautiful city with hardly any tourists!
A beautiful city with hardly any tourists! Truly a hidden gem. We went in august, when the beaches were full. In Varazdin, there was hardly anyone!
Beautiful castles, country side, and rock climbing.
We had a very enjoyable stay in the apartment "Happy Days". The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything we needed. The location is great - close to historic part of Varazdin, shops and restaurants. Our hosts were very nice and hospitable. The day we arrived was rather cold so we really appreciated that our kind hosts put the heating on for us and welcomed us with a warm apartment. We will be happy to stay here again in our next visit to Varazdin.
It’s a very well equipped and comfortable apartment. We arrived quite tired after bike touring and wild camping, and had a very good rest here. We could store our bikes in the basement. The kitchen’s amenities are especially superb (I loved that I found make Turkish coffee), but we liked the comfy bed and bathroom too. The city center is about 1 km away, and the area is very nice and quiet.
A very nice apartment that offers you to experience and live the baroque city of Varaždin. The apartment is very neat and clean, and the host is very kind and accommodating. We stayed one night during the Špancirfest festival, which we highly recommend.
The kitchen with the main living room was comfy and the bedroom was really huge. It has an acccess to the balcony with a mosquito net in the door. Just perfect :) hope to come back one day to explore the town of Varaždin and the surroundings
The restaurant offers good food, but more importantly it's a great place to sit and chill while having a drink and enjoying the view of the park. The interior design of the whole hotel is very nice, and our stay was really comfortable.
Exceptionally kind and forthcoming nightshift staff who assisted us a lot with car breakdown near the hotel premisses and arrangements for next day troubleshouting and resolving the issue in order to continue our trip onwards.
Perfect stay at cosy apartment in beautiful Varaždin. Hosts were very welcoming and kind. There are two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and long hallway. Nicely decorated, clean and warm. We enjoyed our stay here. Thank you
Beautiful apartment a few minutes walk from the city center. Excellent contactless check in, simple and effective. Free parking space in the inner yard. Friendly hosts ready to help with everything you need.
Really great place to stay and have look at Varazdin. Close to the city center, friendly host and really well equiped apartments. You will not regreat the stay here.
