Palo Alto is a cute city with tons of things to do.
Palo Alto is a cute city with tons of things to do. Plenty of food options to eat at, tons of shopping, and events to go to. It is a little bit more on the pricey side but worth the visit. The farmer's market is one of our favorite things to do on Sunday when we visit.

Stanford University was nice.
Stanford University was nice. I spent most of my time in the library, but the architecture was nice.
The city is extremely expensive for food. Restaurants were very pricey, and even groceries were costly.
There is a lot of homelessness and people living in campers. It is not the nightmare that San Francisco is, but it is tragic to see such affluence and poverty side-by-side.

Palo Alto is an affectionately weird mix of California egalitarianism and Silicon Valley Venture Capitalism. I only come to the city for health care at Stanford Medical Center, which is world class, all the way!

It was a good hotel, very comfortable but if you want a meal in the evening or weekend forget it. The hotel does not serve meals during those times. I will go to the Courtyard next time I am in the area.

We needed a place to stay close to Stanford and Coronet Motel was perfect. If we need to return, we will definitely stay there again. We were so pleased with the size of the room which included a breakfast table, sofa, desk and private bedroom. It is not new, but very clean and well kept up.

The Stanford University campus is worth a visit and a guided tour if you can book one. The Baylands nature preserve is a beautiful place to take a walk or just relax. Shopping and eating at the Stanford Shopping Mall with its variety of large and small shops is delightful.
This motel really exceeds expectations for the budget. Very clean and comfortable. If you are only one or two people I recommend the King room vs 2 beds. Has a separated bed area and living area with sofa, reducing street noise. Also small kitchenette - almost a suite. The staff were super helpful and flexible with several changes in bookings, one change in room. The location is perfect - close to Stanford and to California Ave with many restaurants etc. My second stay and I will return next time in Palo Alto.
This is a 50's style motel that has been updated. It sits off the main road of El Camino Real with a courtyard of big oak trees and patio chairs. There is a nice pool and the area around the pool is well furnished. There is always a big jug of water with ice for refreshment. We had a corner room which was quite large and comfortable. Breakfast is brought to your door and was mostly continental, i.e. fruit, yogurt, bagel, etc. It is close to downtown Mt. View, Palo Alto, and Stanford. The value was excellent.
This hotel is really top tier. All the employees, especially the ones at the reception treat you really like guests and not only like customers. The service is outstanding.
The room is very probably the best I've been at a hotel. Everything is very comfortable and very clean. Definitely best bath room ever.
The restaurant is very good, also the pantry is always filled with great food and beverages.
This hotel really lives up to the all inclusive concept.
Thank you for the great time there!
Dinah’s was such a lovely surprise. The pictures on Booking.com do not do the rooms justice at all. I felt like I was in a resort and the rooms were very spacious with great amenities. The hotel in general was peaceful and I felt very much at home. The staff were all so kind and helpful and even let me do an early check-in which I really appreciated. I will be visiting them again.
John and Briana at the front desk were amazing , kind and very professional. The hotel is perfect for the price and location. My room was nice , clean and modern with a good TV set. Keep in mind this is not a luxury hotel. It’s great for the price and I feel they have attention to detail and great service. ( Coffee at the lobby is fantastic).
I liked everything. great bed, assortment of pillows including down, friendly staff, small but well kept pool area, lovely continental breakfast, quiet and clean, nice shower head and toiletries, frankly everything you would get in a luxury hotel but for a budget price. I highly recommend if you need to visit the Stanford campus.
+ beautiful design and attention to detail
+ perfect location on University Ave - in the middle of all the cute shops and restaurants Palo Alto has to offer
+ short walk away from Caltrain and the free shuttle to Stanford
+ bikes for free
+ attentive staff who wrote us a darling little card
The location can't be beat--it's in the center of downtown and not a bad walk to Stanford University. Room prices are more affordable than competing hotels in the area. There is no shortage of great restaurants nearby. And the lobby is beautiful and inviting.
The Palo Alto Inn was a very nice place. The receptionist was very helpful, as well as the very nice room. Overnight was simply for travelling, but it had a great place to spend the night. This would be very helpful to spend the night again.
Gorgeous little hotel, amazing space in our room. Everyone and everything was lovely, a really fab place. My 7yr old didn't want to leave. Very nice breakfast, very comfortable beds and all round a great spot.
The staff are fantastic, especially Christian who gave us a little tour of some of the beautiful original features of the hotel. It’s so charming. Rooms were large and airy and clean.
Such a cute boutique hotel. The rooms are really small but all we do is sleep in there so it was not an issue. It’s right in the heart of downtown. We could walk everywhere
Everything. It was so easy to access and the room was beautiful. It was so reasonable compared with other hotels in the area and, we would imagine, far superior.
The manger at The Palo Alto Inn was extremely helpful. The hotel was very clean and the location of hotel is amazing. I really loved the vibe of the place
