Hotel was very Grand looking, but not well attended, possibly because of the dates I was there. Was surprised to find the pool not open, since it was one of the reasons this hotel was selected. I can't tell you much about what was good.
I can't tell you much about what was good. But the list of things that was not was wayyyyy to long. Doors didn't work. No ice machine in the whole hotel. We tried all 5 floors. No pool. Flooded patio outside. AC wasn't working in one room. Floors were dirty. No toilet paper in one room. Blankets were thin as paper. No gym access. Toilet was not bolted to the floor. Beds not attached to the wall. Headboard close to causing serious injury because it was also not attached to the wall. There were so many different smells in each hall and room of that place it was concerning. Rooms weren't cleaned properly. I've never been more disappointed in a hotel stay in my life.

Place looked nice but when we found bed bugs called the front desk was given the run around then showed them the dead carcuss of a bug on one bed and the smashed one on the sheet but was accused of bringing the bugs there. It was in a nice neighborhood with many eatery's around to choose from . On top of a hill you can see things. It is Quite. Staff was nice. Drug stores close. And even grocery shopping close. Many people work in that area.

The Hotel's location and cleanliness were very good.
The Hotel's location and cleanliness were very good. The breakfast option is also good. We had a major issue with Thermostat. It has only 2 options. Up and down. If you turn the temp up it will start the heater and set down then it will start AC. It was very frustrating as I could not set a temp that kept the AC or fan running. There is no fan-only option. Every 1-2 hours I have to wake up at night and set the temp down. Once it was around 70 and felt very cold and the temp was set to 73, it started heating the room. We didn't get sleep for those 2 nights.

The Hotel is close to fast food as well as steak and seafood restaurants, so many to choose from. Independence is beautiful. You can enjoy walking around town because it feels so layed back. Perfect place after the stresses of work, etc...

The shower was a nice size and the location was very convenient. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast bar was quite convenient for us. We noticed how clean the hotel smelled when we arrived. Sure appreciated that.
