For beach people. Kotor is very different in this regard.
For beach people. Kotor is very different in this regard. I ran the coastal path from Budva to Sveti Stefan and back and recommend this to any runners. You pass many cove settlements and beaches you otherwise wouldn't know about.
Soul Food has nice sandwiches and pastries.

Very nice city.
Very nice city. I travel to Budva so often and love being there.
For the first time visitors, I recommend that they'd better choose summer season so that they can have much more fun and enjoy the environment (in and out of the city) and of course swimming.
The old city is quite unique day and night. You can have especially dinner at restaurant Jadran just by the sea. Next to this restaurant, there is a pub, named Bike and Beer. Its owner is the same of the restaurant. You may spend a night in there and enjoy the music which is performed by two grumpy looking elderly men. To me, they are perfectly play their guitars and sing.
Babaloo is a snack restaurant and bar. They have a very satisfying menu. This place is on the ground floor of TQ Plaza, the only shopping mall of the city.
Should you try your luck, you can visit the casino in the Splendid Hotel, ten minutes away from the city by taxi.
Inside of the old city walls, there shops and pubs. You can spend some time in one of them.
And more... To be honest, I'm tired of writing.
Go and see. You'll understand why I love Budva.
Do not stay only in Budva. Visit the other cities on the cost of Kotor Bay which is the only fjord in Mediterannean sea; Kotor, Tivat, Petrovac, Perast, HerzegNovi.
Please do travel up to Zabljak, a city towards to Serbian border in north. Visit Durmitor Natural Park and Tara Canyon (2nd in the world and the biggest in European) and try zip-line... On the way up to Zabljak, you may visit Ostrog Monastry that is placed on one side of a hill like it's curved in the rocks.

Budva is a convenient stop between entry to Crna Gora from Hrvacka and arrival at the South of the country, I had an appointment in the town; once that was fulfilled I had little incitement to explore further.

Overpopulated, busy, loud, jammed, boring and too expensive.
Overpopulated, busy, loud, jammed, boring and too expensive. There's a helicopter waking the whole town up every weekend, every day, every hour. Go to Tivat or Herceg Novi instead for a peaceful and nice vacation.

It is nice to see the Old Town, have a walk there and have a dinner there. But that's it. Besides the old town Budva is not an atmospheric place: loud and dirty. I would recommend to go to some more friendly place for a longer stay.
I realy like hotel managment as they have made as feel like in five star hotel.
We have been each day in diffrent room, from standard room on first floor, to family suite on third and last day in rooftop apartment. We did late check up in room( that they didnt charge us). Each room was truly amazing with luxory feeling. And I highly recommend this hotel. Easy check in and check out, 2 elevators , luxory enterior, great showers, comfty beds. Good breakfast. Easy booking taxi via whatsapp ( Happy taxi ), 5 euro to Budva. 35 euro to airport.
The hotel is relatively new and in beautiful shape. The most important part was the hotel staff. They are all professionally trained, kind, polite and helpful. I would particularly like to mention Petar at the front desk. He was so helpful with ideas of what to do and where to go. Also, the following were lovely employees and very helpful! Zravco , Drazen, Nikola and Milos. I'm sorry if I forgot the names of others but everyone was so kind. I would come back to Budva just to stay in this hotel. Many thanks!!
We really enjoyed our stay in Montenegro! The hotel is very cleaned and has all the facilities. Breakfast was amazing! When we arrived at the hotel, 2 young girls in the reception treat us very bad, and even not look in our eyes. However, later in the evening 2 other ladies spoke to us nicely and we were very surprised why the young ladies in our check in were so rude with us! We are a family travelling with a 1 year old baby, and he loved the place as well! Great for families, quite place!
We are still very impressed by our visit to Montenegro, largely because we stayed at this hotel. Very conveniently located, clean, everything you need is in the room. But the main thing is Evelina, who took care of us the entire time we were there. She offered us more comfortable rooms with a sea view. All minor problems (and there were no major ones) were resolved instantly. She is a warm person, this is very important.
Breakfast is very good, we recommend it.
The kindest staff I run into during my whole Montenegro trip. Kind, helpfull, intrested and really taking an extra step.
The room was big and comfy. Nice huge bed and lovely sheets. The showers was like the best. And they had Rituals miniatures for showering and shampoo.
And breakfast really better and more then expected. Overal I am in love with this place. It's not near the center of Budva but totally worth to gifr yourself some peace and relaxing.
Everything about this apartment was good, however the hospitality of the owner made it fantastic for us. The host was so kind and helpful even at the late time she responded our questions. Plus, I strongly recommend you to ask her for pick up from airport, cuz she will tell everything about Montenegro and will directly take you to the flat. I felt glad that I chose this flat and met such a nice person from Budva.
The location of the apartments is perfect for people who would like to discover a bit more in Montenegro than just Budva - the bus station is just a few minutes away, offering frequent connections to different parts of the country. The staff was nice, although I would prefer not to be asked to leave our IDs at the reception for the check-in. The room was spacious and clean and the towels were frequently changed.
If you want to have the same comfort conditions of your own home in your travels, Hostel Budva is exactly the true address for Montenegro (especially with their tasty and free breakfasts). You can find what you need easily by the help of its great location. You'll feel the sincerity of the owners. Even if you lose money in Bitcoin, i am sure they will try their best to help you)) And lovee youuu Nero)))
The environment, the hospitality of the staff and the food in the restaurant have been all amazing. The hotel has like the best view of Budva coast and you should do yourself a favor by staying at one of their sea-view rooms. The hotel has its own beach and it is super close to other attractions as well. Highly recommend to everyone who would like to wake up to a Adriatic view and run to the beach!
Everything was perfect. Budva in Montenegro is the best city to visit, less crowded, less tourists from cruise ships. The appartment location is perfect, the view was great, Marija is great.she was always very friendly and very helpful. The appartment had a good air condition. Parking is a big issue in Budva. But available parking lots were good managed by Marija. I had with my family great stay.
A fabulous hotel. All the staff were amazing, especially the girl with curly hair at the reception, (Hello), Splendid is my Family's favorite hotel in Montenegro: rooms are spacious,The food is AMAZING.... All the selections were delicious. The beef was very tender. The sea is only a few minutes away from the room and the beach is crystal clean.
Best apartment i rented in Montenegro in that money range. Is huge comparing with others. Nice living room and big separated bedroom. Very well prepared bathroom too. Good location, 10mins to the beach, 20 to the old Budva town. Big and confortable parking below the apartment that is for you.
Very good contact with the owners.
Exceptional hospitality. Outstanding breakfast. Clean and specious room. Great location close to Old Town to walk to by foot and the hotel is essentially on the edge of Budva which makes it convenient to get to and get out from by car when exploring the rest of Montenegro.
2 pools (very nice on rooftop)
Beach is nice
Breakfast is good
Very clean, large rooms
Real 4-star hotel (rare in Monténégro !)
Friendly and very professional staff, very Good service as a whole. Free parking if you park outside (garage is 10€/day)
excellent modern hotel! facilities are great , location amazing ocean view and next to old town ! breakfast and room service tasty and staff kind and helpful! Belma who gives massages is great ! this hotel is rated 4 stars but it should be 5 stars
The property is in central Budva, parking is also 500m from the property. Overall very nice hotel.
Special mention to the host who recommended us a great beach which was 20 minute away…. Perazica Beach….
And the hotel staff was also amazing.
One of the best hotels in Montenegro very unique
Staff were professional and speak English very well,
Facility is top notch
The breakfast was excellent
There is an elevator for the underground parking which is nice
Nice and quiet place, close to Budva but far from noise and crowding of the city:)
