The dive spot is incredible and the beach is connected to the resort. The diving instructors were helpful and supportive. They were flexible with cancelations (I had a stomach issue and couldn't do the last dive) . Rooms are clean.

Staff were great! Restaurant staff would always hold my baby so I could eat and she was happy, the massage was great.
Owner was friendly and had good chats on check in and check out.
The food was great! Watermelon juice was amazing! One of the best I've had in Bali!
Bed was soft and squishy which was nice for a few nights but glad we didn't stay longer or my back would suffer 😅

Lunar Dive resort was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly during our stay and recommended some nearby food. We dove with Lunar too. Pieter and Elsa were extremely educational and friendly. We did 2 dives with Wayan who was a rockstar at the beach and was a great and patient guide. Highly recommend.
And the resort used to be a Harley stop over for touring motos so there's cool HD decor around. Very tuff.

Tulamben is a great, quiet place to stay if you like diving.
Tulamben is a great, quiet place to stay if you like diving. There are a number of diving operators based there. There are a range of restaurants assocated with the diving hotels, and also tasty local Warungs available for the more adventurous. I recommend a 3 night stay to enjoy the diving opportunities here. Go there to dive the Liberty wreck only. The "coral gardens" supposedly off the resort are quite poor, Jemeluk is better. The food at the resort was excellent, but I was so annoyed at being given the wrong villa that I didn't eat there after the first night. This issue with the ocean view villas has happened to others as well- make sure you are given what you have paid for.GailAustralia - 10Scored 10
Tulamben is a dive resort town.
Tulamben is a dive resort town. You will mostly be interacting with other divers from around the world, dive masters, dive instructors, and dive guides. There are some very friendly and helpful store operators and some delightful restaurants but it has little to interest the general traveller. There is not much reason to come here unless you intend to do some diving or snorkelling on the many underwater attractions. You could also use it as a base from which to climb the volcano Mount Agung which hangs in the background of the town like a Damocles Sword.Experimental Films - 8.0Scored 8.0

Tulamben is a diving mecca with volcanic sand and many different dive sites. I only had one day, but I did three dives. I'll go back for more, as the diving is worth it. The reefs did appear to be very busy, but if you meet the right people, I am sure you'll get away from the crowds. I'd like to see more of what Tulamben has to offer.FionaSouth Africa - 8.0Scored 8.0

Quite location , remote so good hotel is important. Travelled to Amed daily to enjoy view and more range of bars/ restaurants entertainment. Though great to go back to remoteness and quite of Tulamben each evening. Plenty to see on the way back to Kuta such as Virgin Beach

Nice place for divers, snorkelers and swimmers. Very reach marine life. Get in touch with Yury Ivanov affiliated with Matahari dive resort. He is an expert on nudibranch and little creatures which are plentiful in area around property. If you are experienced solo diver staff may let you dive solo even at night. I did six night solo dives there.
