The location was fantastic! You are completely surrounded by beauty.
The only problem I personally had was the heat... and I was unable to produce cross current ventilation in the downstairs area where my daughter slept on the sofa bed because of the lack of screens on the doors ....and you needed them because of mosquitoes and bees! Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved it .
We loved it . We loved the staff , the wine and the breakfast was magnificent. The gardens were a dream and the kids enjoyed the pool . The restaurant on-site was expensive and the kids would have loved some more basic options . The room was clean and linen good however o feel that the accommodation could be upgraded some what . The staff went out of there way to help and the most friendly hotel staff we have come across in Italy .

The facility was just as advertised, rustic and authentic Tuscan accommodation. We were disappointed that we booked a separate villa with a kitchen unit and was given a suite instead with little explanation. Had a tub instead of a walk in shower and no place to make our own cooking which was one of the reasons we chose this property. Our room was sparse but comfortable but the heater in the sitting area was not working. The wifi was spotty and not reliable, same for mobile phone service. Staff was friendly and the countryside was remote but beautiful.

Gaiole is very much where the best wines are in Tuscany.
Gaiole is very much where the best wines are in Tuscany. The town itself is more of a very small village with not a great deal to see or do. There are a few decent restaurants but nothing great. Two banks with ATMs right in the middle of the village can be useful for travelers. One charges a small fee for withdrawals, the other doesn't. If you're there in October, like we were, there's an annual wine festival attended by all the vineyards in the area. This was a plus for us. One of the best things about Gaiole, though, is that it makes a great base for visiting the surrounding areas, including Sienna. Lots to see within an hours drive. And drives are absolutely spectacular, especially if you take your time and stop often.

A pretty town with lovely people!
A pretty town with lovely people! Easy to get around by car and many interesting activities to partake in e.g. wine tasting, picnic, hiking, or just relaxing in the grounds of one of the nearby Castellos e.g. Castello di Tornano.

Real rural life under the Tuscan sun living in this charming countryside villa. Quiet and authentic. Spacious!! Spotlessly clean. No detail is spared and it’s the perfect spot to recharge while admiring vineyards and olive trees. The host is wonderful. Always available to ensure everything is in order and provides advice on outings, restaurants, etc. Ideally located for varied activities including vineyards, dining and historic Chianti towns. Siena is close - 7 miles away. Would absolutely stay here again! It was so wonderful!
If you are looking for a calm country athmosphere in Tuscany, this is the right place. A little bit isolated from everywhere yet very clean (maybe the cleanest hotel i have ever been to!). The owners are great people and helpful, too. The lady has even a sommelier certificate, so a right person to talk about wine in the region. They serve a classical Italian breakfast with a good coffee and a very good fresh juice. (Be careful this juice is highly probiotic :D)
The experience was absolutely phenomenal, surpassing expectations in every aspect. From the impeccable cleanliness to the delectable breakfasts that were provided, every detail was carefully attended to. The swimming and seating area exuded a sense of tranquility, allowing for complete relaxation and rejuvenation. Moreover, the proximity of the shops and restaurants made them easily accessible, enhancing the overall convenience of the location.
We absolutely loved the relaxing setting and atmosphere of this hotel. It is extremely picturesque and a lot of the older features of the property make for a stunning backdrop to evening meals and poolside sunbathing!
The staff were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome, and the food at the restaurant in the evening was absolutely outstanding! Breakfast was also to a high standard and the coffee is wonderful.
The opportunity to stay in a 13th century castle was a rare and enjoyable experience. The views were truly breathtaking and we enjoyed the peace and serenity of the location. The staff at the reception desk provided recommendations for locals restaurants and booked them for us in advance. Overall a relaxing and memorable stay.
Exceptional view at Toscana hills
The property is clean, it has an amazing design and attention to every detail. The perfect mix of traditional and modern for a pleasant stay.
The location is great as well. Very close to other wineries and castles.
We will definitely come back to enjoy the vacation under the Tuscan sun.
Great breakfast, beautiful old villa with great views and a wine cellar, swimming pool and tennis court. Modern bathroom. Very quiet at night.
We loved the staff, especially Silvia, the hotel manager who made our stay even more special. You can feel through her authentic attentive manner that she is perfect for this job.
Great location and views, severely let down by a lack of basic good hotel services.
The staff were nice and pleasant but clearly haven't seen a hotel operating at this price level.
Room and bed were comfortable but overpriced.
I have stayed in the area at various hotels over the last 10 years.
Very convenient location to see Tuscany. Room was gorgeous, very clean. We loved breakfast, very fresh, local and generous. Best words to the owners, Anita helped us in every step and gave many recommendations. 10/10 for the hotel, and 100/10 to the owners. It was a pleasure to stay at Rietine24!
Out of the way but worth it.
Beautiful area/views.
Hotel is an Old, 1000 year old monastery.
Beautiful, clean infinity pool that looks to view. Gorgeous.
Property and grounds well maintained.
Staff professional and friendly.
Restaurants good.
Rooms old but renovated bathrooms.
Amazing location on the top of a hill owned as special reserve by the hotel estate. Our room had its own private garden, big and comfortable swimming pool, the castle has been preserved and restored perfectly. Staff really kind and proactive, food excellent.
We had a wonderful time at Hotel Paradiso. It was very efficiently organised by Max. Great rooms, location, pretty terrace for breakfast. Breakfast was simple but delicious with fresh fruit, pastries and excellent coffee. We would recommend to our friends.
The room was really nice, with a beautiful view, nice beds and a good sized bathroom. The food at Casa Borgo al Vento was just excellent! The scenery around the hotel is just really gorgeous. The property is also very spacious and has a beautiful pool.
A hidden gem in secluded, easy to get to area of Gaiole in Chianti. On site facilities, pools, hot tubs etc. are the cherry on that Sundae! The food is really really good! Staff were also great! A great base to explore that area of Chianti.
Perfect place in the hart of Tuscany.
Authentic preservation combined with relaxed modern comfort.
An island of peace and beauty. The room, the pool and the garden were excellent.
The hotel restaurant is highly recommended too.
My husband and I just stayed for five nights and words cannot express what a wonderful experience we had. Simone and Alessio were the best and most welcoming hosts we have ever had. We will definitely be back.
From booking with the hotel to arriving at the resort we were treated to a very special experience. My birthday lunch was a highlight as the food was exceptional and the views breathtaking.
