We are not beach people but we loved the location and warm...
We are not beach people but we loved the location and warm weather, offering the possibility of sitting on the beach to enjoy the view. The weather was excellent. We loved the gardens and the one at Villa Ephrussi is a must! There were museums to visit and plenty of restaurants with excellent variety between local food and others such as sushi, vegetarian and also supermarkets and shops. La Pilha Leva is a best location to try local specialities. Transportation is easy and cheap. Nice is an excellent base to visit other areas such as Villefranche, Eze, Monaco, and Menton. Lots of excellent walks; the coastal ath from Nice to Villefranche is dramatic and beautiful. We walked up the hill to Cimiez and Cascaide de Gairut. Lots of interesting Belle Epoque architecture and history. It's a lovely place for a holiday.

Nice was a surprising city for us.
Nice was a surprising city for us. After 19 years of doing city trips, we are now arriving at the smaller cities. But Nice is so nice. A very compact city, where you can do a lot on foot. There is a hop-on hop bus, but the tour is not spectacular. However, the tourist train is great fun and takes you to the mountain with such a beautiful view, highly recommended. I also recommend going to Monaco and Monte Carlo from Nice. We did this through Tripadvisor and it was so fun and beautiful.

Great holiday destination, the promenade is perfect for walking, especially with a baby in a stroller. So many great restaurants within a short distance of each other. The tram is very clean and accessible and so convenient to get to and from the airport. Overall, the pavements, promenade and general area were spotlessly clean. It felt like a very safe location.

Wonderful!
Wonderful! Impressive mix of Itaian and French style architecture, charm of the Vieux Nice, to not mention the sea... Don't miss the sunset from the Castle Hill and the mini cruises to Villefranche and Cap Ferrat.

Lovely compact city with great promenade, good retail centre...
Lovely compact city with great promenade, good retail centre, interesting Old town and flower market, nice beaches(mainly stony), lots of restaurants, good transport and tram link to airport. Monaco and Cannes close by.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable, we had a room with a balcony which was lovely to sit out on and watch the world go by. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Esther and Hannah on reception are a credit to this hotel, their customer service, friendliness and proffessionalism were outstanding, even better than any 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in.
The location excellent, in city, 10 minute walk down to beach and Nice old town and 5 minutes walk to station.
Perfect location, no noise at all so very nice easy to get to sleep. The building itself has so much character and we felt super safe during our stay. Very close to old town, new town and train station. Extremely clean, so comfortable and cosy, everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed our stay! The host Arnaud is so helpful, very attentive and was on hand to answer any questions we had. 100% recommend for a couples trip to the South of France!
Extremely close to everything! Old town is a 5-10min walk where you’ll find the famous market, restaurants, and walk up to Colline du Château. Tram is a 2min walk from the hotel which you can also take to the airport and back. Nice ville station is also a 5min walk away which takes you to many places like Monaco and Cannes. Staff are very kind and friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was spectacular.
Location is good for a short stroll to beach, restaurants and old town but is still quiet, room was a good size for France and the hotel was nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was acceptable if you want to take it and the staff are polite and professional also had parking which is rare. We had a balcony and could just glimpse the sea at the bottom of the street a bit of a bonus in all a good place to stay.
The hotel location is excellent with easy access to the port, old town and the promenade. Lots of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants to choos from. Two restaurants we enjoyed were Peixes Opéra and Comptoir du Marche (in fact we went there twice it was so nice). Daniel the host is an excellent asset to the hotel, always cheerful, friendly and a great source of information about the locality.
The staff at the front desk were friendly and answered every question I had. Especially the girl that was during the day took her time to help me with phone calls. The room was big with a terrace that had a beautiful view. It was good to have the fridge and everything in the kitchen. The location of the hotel is good. We walked to the train station, to the old town and everywhere in Nice.
The best host you will ever find in France, the location is super, so easy to reach from the airport, a nice walk away (or tram ride) from the city center, beach is just few steps further, boulangerie is across the street, supermarket is super close etc. And it is qiuet there, that’s true! You will sleep like a baby no matter what! PS! The host knows all the secrets and pearls of Nice ;)
The hotel was beautiful with incredible views! It’s conveniently situated at the end of old town Nice built into a cliff with stunning views of the town, beach, and ocean. Our room was clean and lovely with a balcony and view with a roomy, updated bathroom. The staff were always friendly and Very helpful and ended our 30th anniversary trip on a beautiful and romantic note!
It is one of the best places I stayed in France. It's really in the heart of the city, train station, tram lines are on walking distance.
The hostel is beautiful, clean. Staff is nicer n helpful.
Bar, kitchenette is available. They have happy hour 6-8 pm ( haven't used it but it's mentioned) .
Rooms, bathrooms r clean. In short they maintain standard. I liked it. :)
Great location - close to Promenade des Anglais and the Hotel Negresco. A short walk to the old town. The breakfast was good and it was great to be able to eat it outdoors in the lovely courtyard. The staff were quite friendly and reception was able to show us in despite our very late arrival. Having airconditioning was wonderful (and rare in France!).
The front desk staff are so nice and helpful. From helping with suitcases (as cars cannot park right in front of the hotel) to offering restaurants recommendation they truly are amazing. The location is great you basically are at the center of the old town. However it gets a little noisy sometimes at night but it is not a big deal for us.
Spacious, comfortable & clean. Large fully stocked kitchen and even had a Nespresso machine! The soft large bath towels were the best we had on our month long trip through France. Great location close to buses, trams & train station and all the Old Town attractions. We would definitely stay here again. You can’t go wrong with Chez Kari!
Staff were very nice, welcoming, and helpful! The hotel was clean and they cleaned rooms every day and brought new towels and soap. Bed was comfortable and they had air conditioning which was great for us at night. Location is a 15 min walk from the beach and 20 mins from Old Town. Worth the walk to save so much money, in my opinion.
The apartment has an excellent location in Rue de France. Everything is very close and within walking distance. The proprietary is very kind and is willing to answer all your questions. This apartment is very clean and has all that you need. If you come by car, there is a parking garage "Massena" close to this apartment.
Perfect central location and at the same time very quiet room. Also close to the old town, the train station and the sea. Very clean room and hotel premises. The stuff was extremely nice and helpful.
