Geelong city is a very nice place. It has a long fresh air beach with a lot of seagulls flying around and basking in the sun. It is a city for people who love running and cycling. A city where you can come back to nature with many kinds of birds such as Cockatoos, Magpies...

I stayed the night as I was catching the Spirit of Tasmania early the following morning. I would have been very happy to have spent longer to explore Geelong. Where I stayed was very convenient, quiet and easy walking distance to restaurants.

The waterfront is lovely; Eastern beach has beautiful park surrounds that reflect an elegance of an earlier era; many restaurants with great cuisine; art galleries; the botanic gardens are delightful.

Melbourne without the crowds.
Melbourne without the crowds. There are some great restaurants and cafe's in Geelong but without having to deal with the crowds of Melbourne. If you want to go to Melbourne we got a train which was easy and comfortable and took around 50 minutes. Great wineries nearby and if you want a day trip Great Ocean Road or Otway National Park are within a couple of hours drive.

We stop over regularly in Geelong to see family.
We stop over regularly in Geelong to see family. However, I always enjoy taking in a few local site while we are there is this brings back lots of happy memories for me. I like to see the Spirit of Tasmania ship, the Waterfront, Cunningham Pier, Floating Christmas Tree, Carosel and Ferris Wheel. The area has undergone a lot of development in the past 45 years - it keeps getting better and better!
The room was clean and much quieter than I had expected (given there is a busy road and railway line nearby). Office staff were polite and able to facilitate a quick check-in for me, as I was in a rush. Parking on-site was fairly secure, off the street and within the building. The hotel is close to the public transport and in a good position if you plan to go on foot to visit different areas in Geelong. It was only a 5 minute drive from the venue I was working at for the weekend, so very conveniently situated.
Sherry is a very caring and thoughtful hostess. We had everything we needed and more at this lovely cottage. Very cozy and clean house. So many nice extra items that you usually don’t expect to be there, everything was there. It was plenty enough space for five of us (three adults and two children). Nice backyard. Great location close to the city center, supermarkets around the corner, Geelong waterfront etc. We have already booked Mimosa cottage for our next stay in Geelong. Highly recommended.
It took me back to when my parents used to take us on trips. It's a beautiful old fashioned motel and is one of the cleanest and loveliest we have seen in a very long time. Management is so friendly and if want to know what's on in Geelong he is the go to man. The location is perfect it's walking distance to Rippleside beach and restaurants. It's serviced daily and is so clean. Highly recommend this property and the management. Ten out of the ten.
The building is spectacular. The best rebuild and renovation I have ever seen. Great beds, fine linen, great heating and quality fittings. For my disabled colleague, the shower was accessible and a pleasure to use. Secure parking is appreciated and the locale excellent. Absolutely amazing space with modern and tasteful, furniture, including controlled blinds.
A wonderful secret place to enjoy Geelong. close to waterfront too!
Great appartement with view on the Geelong Waterfront. Great location, 100 meters to the waterfront. Secure and undercover car park. Great staff.
Appartement with both wasmachine and dryer.
Westfield shopping center with Coles just a 5 minute walk.
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and the Wifi was also perfect 😉
This is our preferred location if we are travelling towards Geelong in the future. Thanks for a great stay.
The location was excellent, very scenic, everything that you would need for a comfortable stay was provided. We have travelled extensively 401 Pier Point rated better than many 5 star International hotels. Thanks to our host Paul.
Well situated, 15 minutes stroll to the city centre , arts precincts and waterfront. Entry procedures clear and simple. Clean, modern and comfortable. Off street parking round the back.
Fantastic, fresh and new hotel. Had a pool and well equipped gym also which was very much enjoyed. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Loved my stay here - only wish I had more time! Attended a wedding in Geelong, was a beautiful apartment with nice views of waterfront and easy to get an Uber to the event and back.
we needed to stay back 30 minutes, it was just unfortunate that this has been one of the only hotels we stayed in that charged us to stay the extra 30 minutes. $20 as well.
The property is really nice I liked that it had a living room are separate from the bedroom and the location which was ideal for visiting Geelong University hospital
The location of the Novotel is fantastic and it is a clean hotel. Easy walk in to the city of Geelong, plus just over the road from the Westfield Shopping Centre.
Excellent location close to city centre. Very clean facility. I recommend it for a stay close to the foreshore. Good value for money. Staff were excellent.
