It was an amazing experience.
It was an amazing experience. We went for Holi and it was worth it. The only pain point was the weather. It was too hot so I would definitely recommend you go either during monsoon or post that. Apart from that the landscape is very unique and beautiful.

Hampi is a very special place even if you just want to watch the sunrise or the sunset, however it alot more to offer with the history of the city. I fully rec
ommend you hire a qualified guide for the day it costs around 2500/3000 but well worth it otherwise your just walking around ancient sites not knowing what it all was. It's very spread out so you need transport, scooters tuktuk taxi. Alot is free but some places you need to pay it costs 600 which lets you into 3 of the locations. The temple elephant goes down to the river for its daily bath which is a good experience as you can get in the river near to it. Just enjoy it

The sheer extent of the historical sites is remarkable.
The sheer extent of the historical sites is remarkable. We benefitted from being adjacent to this in the Temple View Hotel in the bazaar area. The museum and main palaces are a must, made more pleasant and achievable on the heat by engaging an auto rickshaw driver at an agreed rate for the day( suggest 1,500 rupees for the day) Chill out bamboo was our favourite eating and cool drink location.

Nobody will tell you the following.
Nobody will tell you the following.
I previewed nearly hundreds of videos on Hampi on YouTube. But nobody gave proper iternary about how to visit the places.
Use Google map and directions to visit the places. Hier two wheeler if you don't have your own vehicle. Do not go for auto rickshaw option unless otherwise you can't drive.
Start the morning with queens bath and surrounding temples. Then visit Vitthal temple.
Take some rest in your hotel and in the evening visit sunset point and surrounding temples.
At night you can visit virupaksha temple.
Next morning visit sunrise point. Then go for "darli" ride. Visit the other side of Hampi that is hippy Island. Visit Anjanedari hill.
If you have more time you can visit the other remaining places.

As the Hampi is famous for the Stone Chariot which was situated at the Vitthala Temple and other monuments which includes Virupaksha Temple. The best thing is the Sunrise & Sunset at the different locations i.e. Matanga Hills, Sanapur Lake etc. Overall the Best trip for the solo travellers as we will get partners from the another countries which came to roam Hampi. If you want to chillout with your friends definitely visit but book a room near virupaksha temple and use bicycle or the journey which will give best experience ever.

Hampi is known as the Vijayanagara Empire ruins.
Hampi is known as the Vijayanagara Empire ruins. It has been a hidden gem in India and only started getting its due recognition in the past few years. There are two aspects of Hampi, one is more related to heritage, the architecture, and the other is a kind of hippie part where most of foreign tourist like to spend their time.
We enjoyed both aspects of Hampi and were glad that we made this trip although we should have planned for at least another day to spend. Recommandation would be to plan at least for 2 full days to visit all the heritage and then relax your self in the evening.
Everything was brilliant about this property. The location was amazing, surrounded by beautiful nature. Gopi and his staff were all really lovely and accommodating. There is a restaurant on site, and Gopi and his staff serve very tasty homemade food. The room was spacious and the shower had hot water. My bed was really comfortable. It was a really peaceful place to stay. Gopi was also kind enough to take me to Hampi and back on his motorbike a few times over my stay, which was brilliant and very helpful .
Banana farmhouse has the best location with clean and comfortable accommodation in Hampi at a very reasonable price. The owner Pampi and host family treated us like family. It felt like we have come to stay at big brother's house for vacation. Also one should not miss tasty dosas made by his wife for breakfast. Property is less than 2 km from Virupaksha temple so its quicker to reach to Hemkunta hill for sunrise and sunset. Overall we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hampi.
Excellent stay, very friendly owners and knowledgeable..
They knew Malayalam which made my stay even pleasant and they provided best service.
Home cooked food was the best..
They are familiar with Kannada, English, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi..so anyone would be comfortable interacting with them and getting your guidance.
The stay is suitable for families and friends..
Highly recommended everyone to stay at pushpa home stay, Hampi.

It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely prefer such home stays rather than staying in a Hotel. Rooms. were neatly maintained. Usually the photos of rooms you see in the website always don't match when you visit but in this case it was exceeding expectations. The care take was also very professional and polite. If you are traveling to Hampi, I would recommend this homestay as it quite calm place to be
We had a lovely time staying at lazy panda. The staff were all very helpful and hospitable, especially Krishna and Shankar who kindly arranged some taxi services for us.
The room was clean and hot water was available on request. The location is slightly away from hampi but close to the ferry and sanupar (hippie island)
We stayed during Diwali and they put on a great fire works display for us.
The Tent rooms are soooo cute! The inside of these tents are all multi colours and it seems like you're sleeping in a circus tent. It's Amazing! Also for the price you cannot beat. The room is huge with its own bathroom and queen size bed. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in awhile! So grateful to have picked this place to stay in Hampi
Very immaculate and comfortable room. The owner and his mum and dad very nice and smiley and happy to help in anyway.
Location was a little out of Hampi but was so lovely to stay in a local area seeing everyday people live their life. Local children beautiful. Breakfast was avaliable and very fresh . The owner very decent and friendly and happy to help.
Hotel in the heart of Hampi village. A stone's throw away from the temple complex. All the northern attractions are within walking distance. Clean and comfortable room. The hotel offers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly and attentive staff. Lots of restaurants nearby. Everything is perfect!
Clean and tidy place. The homestay owner uncle and aunty were sweet. They provided great service. Aloo paratha was tasty. They were really helpful and were very polite to talk to. I recommend this place to stay if you want to visit central hampi. This is very close by Virupaksha temple.
Property is in middle of farmland.very close to nature.Best part is that its pet friendly property.we had a pleasant stay.Even staff was courteous, they even shared they mobile data as no other network was not available except Jio at that location.
The family that runs the place is lovely & truly made my stay in Hampi easier - from getting a tour guide & renting a bicycle to booking my ticket to my next stop. The variety of food offered was also great, especially for a vegetarian like me.
Great communication via WhatsApp prior to our arrival. Our train was delayed 8 hours and Raj still picked us up at the Hospet station at 0130am! Home cooked food was great and we had 3 full days site seeing all around Hampi. Highly recommend!
