Wonderful location near Luso and Mealhada. Amazing property tucked away on small hill. There are citrus trees, a nice garden and beautiful old trees. Plenty of space in the room and access to the house living room for reading or TV in the evening. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh jam, fresh squeezed OJ, and much more, served in a formal dining room. Pool wasn’t open (it was March) but you can sit next to it and enjoy the garden/sun.
Parque de campismo de Luso provides a public bath and free private parking, and is within 29 miles of University of Aveiro and 29 miles of Congressional Center of Aveiro.
This XIX's Palace shows you the charming atmosphere of a medieval English castle. You will be able to relax here, while enjoying its beautiful and amazing decoration.
Tranquil guest house just an 11-minute drive from Mealhada. The Residencial Imperial is in the center of Luso and is located within a short 3-minute drive from the famous Luso Thermal Spa.

Location is good, staff are very friendly. It's an inexpensive hotel so you have to set expectations accordingly.

The historical significance and charm of a grand hotel. Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. We felt as if we were welcomed as family. This is the 4th generation to operate the hotel (same family that built the hotel in 1922).

We stayed in Luso for two nights and enjoyed our time. It is remote so we did not feel as though we needed more time there than we had but we did visit the local spa which we enjoyed and we had the best meal all trip in town!
Definitely worth stopping in at.

The town is well worth a visit.
The town is well worth a visit.
It was a shame we didn't have more time fo the thermal baths - they're not open on a Sunday.
Buçaco forest is magical, make lots of time to go there and spend at least a full day.
If you can stay in the Palace, it is well worth it.

The Bussaco Castle was beyond our expectations, the hotel staff were amazing, a representative showed us the lobby area and the amenities prior to our room arrival after our check in. We had a fantastic room (The Queen room). There are several activities to do such the visit to the convent/museum, the shop, and long walking trails in the forest, this was an incredible stay for us to celebrate a very special event, we had dinner at the hotel and the dinner was superb, the bartender knows how to make great mix drinks, the entire staff in the hotel were welcoming, friendly and courteous. This castle is truly one of a kind and highly recommend it to my friends!

Located in the heart of the Serra do Bussaco, Palace Hotel do Bussaco is an excellent example of Manueline-Gothic architecture. Its richly decorated corridors feature antique furnishings, large paintings and traditional Portuguese glazed tiles. Bussaco National Forest is wonderful.

Luso itself is a small nineteenth-century spa town--not much to do there except 'take the waters' (which my wife did, very enthusiastically) and walk in the national forest. It's a place for the sensitive, quieter traveller, rather than someone seeking thrills and excitement.
The property is beautiful. We arrived after rain and the garden was lush and inviting. It was unfortunately too cool to use the pool (in late June - rainy week!), but it was still inviting. The hotel is historic with lots of character. we had the triple room and the shower was heavenly with lots of pressure (must be all that Luso water!). We had a lovely view to the garden. Breakfast was ample and diverse; very filling. The hotel is a short walk into town. We’d absolutely stay again at this property.
This beautiful property is run by a very, very sweet couple. We only stayed one night as a quick stop so we could visit the Bussaco National Forest and Palace, and it was perfect. The grounds were gorgeous, they had a little swing set and slide for our 2 year old son to play on, breakfast was delicious, and the hosts recommended a great restaurant in Luso for dinner. Wish we would have been there for warmer weather to enjoy the pool! Next time!
Azulejo murals inside and outside the museum are amazing!
The hotel is full of history, but everything is wonderful, from the well-kept interior and exterior gardens to the interior rooms.
The hotel truly lives up to its name!
Delicious breakfast!
Especially the bread!
Both the breakfast and lunch were perfect. We loved the grounds, the wisteria, pond with the ducks. The room was very spacious and clean. Our stay at the hotel was enjoyable, and we are glad we decided to stay in this beautiful hotel that made us feel like royalty.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing. From check in to check out they were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great with many choices. This was really a special experience for us to be able to stay in such a historic place.
Lovely old style hotel in a peaceful central location in Luso/Bussaco.
Gardens and pool beautiful.
Breakfasts great
Can walk into town to restaurants and walk to Bussaco Wood and Palace.
Recommended for a relaxing few days
Nice location, peaceful, comfortable hotel, good breakfast, easy access to the paid spa, nice mountain trails to the Buçaco Palace. The gym had many machines for all muscles. Nice people at the reception.
A big 100-year-old house surrounded by an old forest. Quiet location near (1km) the center of Luso. We were the only visitors that night, but the small breakfast prepared just for us was perfect.
Friendly welcome. Nice gardens, easy parking. Central location for accessing Luso. Breakfast was good and felt very homely. Good sized swimming pool and surrounds, perfect for families.
Beautiful building with history attached to it ! Fantastic location with work wonderful views! Just perfect to visit luso ..
Hosts are just lovely couldn’t rate my stay high enough !!
We had a wonderful stay at Vila Aurora. The house is beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and the staff was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and Luso is a lovely town to explore.
Staff was welcoming and helpful. Good location, walk away from the center . Nice old style hotel. Fair breakfast, although coffee at the standards of Portugal was poor .
