Sweet little town..awful public transport connections, no cafes or restaurants to speak of in centre.. Need a car (no Uber).. Felt pretty stranded. Could not get to a nearby village which was the reason for my trip.

Owner who is also operator is not very friendly!
Owner who is also operator is not very friendly! This 12 room hotel is far too remote unless you have a car and lives in Coimbra or Porto! Definitely not worth an hour drive from Coimbra just to stay there!

I chose the hotel because the hotels were full in Piodao. What a pleasant surprise! The drive from the hotel to Piodao is breathtaking. And the hotel itself is located in a small valley where we went for small walks, great for stretching the legs after driving for so long. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel had all the amenities one would expect of a modern hotel. Very clean room, and the breakfast was excellent with good variety. I loved the white cheese and marmalade!
This hotel is in a great location. We went for the Festa do Queijo and it was easy to walk to all of the events and literally just about everywhere in the town. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus station to the hotel so we never needed to call a taxi.
The hotel also has a very nice hot tub and swimming pool which we used as well. It sure was nice to soak in the hot tub after a long day of walking, standing and tasting all of the local goodies!
Fantastic pet-friendly location, in a quiet neighborhood very close to the center of Oliveira do Hospital. The houses are very modern and comfortable, with lovely private gardens and unrestricted access to the rest of the property. Lots of old trees (among which a magnificent linden) and a thriving olive grove on site. The hosts are very attentive and friendly. Free, easy parking in the property.
The casa is practically a hotel, with all the features of a hotel.
Generous breakfast with a large variety and good products, such as fresh fruit, cheese, meat, serials...
Good beds , fantastic shower...
Warm hospitality.
On top of being fantastic, the rates are very reasonable and cost-effective..
The best of the three quintas we had in this region.
We loved everything: the warm welcome, the explanations about the place, and the friendly hosts. It's a tastefully designed boutique hotel, with super clean and luxurious room. The breakfast was delicious and impressive and they even provided us with vegan options. Thank you so much for a 5*hotel experience
we loved everything about this place: the big stylish rooms, the wonderful breakfast and the nice river right in the hotel where we could use the sap and the kayaks. and most of all we liked the excellent staff: so kind and helpful. thank you 😊
The hotel is very well located in the center of the city, the staff are exceptionally welcoming to the guests, the room was comfortable, the swimming pool and hot tub were great amenities and the complimentary breakfast was delicious!
Hotel very comfortable but keeping the atmosphere from the ancient monastery. The place is quiet and beautiful, ideal for a relaxing stay, where you can enjoy the great swimming pool. The staff was very welcoming
The rooms and hotel were very clean. Nice lounge area, great breakfast and very helpful staff. The service you'd expect of a big hotel in a city and compared to some hotels this one was much better.
Liliana, she was at the front office and she had to serve dinner as well, she was welcoming and sweet! the surroundings are beautiful, so is the hotel...
