Hotel was fine as always, but imagine my surprise at receiving TWO parking tickets a few weeks later for £100 each. I was not informed at the check-in desk about the new parking arrangements where vehicles have to be registered with the hotel, and staff failed to mention the new parking system in order to access the free car parking facilities. . I have been a regular guest every month for about five years, so just a warning if you stay at Ibis Styles Barnsley.

RECEPTION STAFF GOOD.
RECEPTION STAFF GOOD. LIFT & ROOM DIRTY, SHOWER SHOCKINGLY BAD (LOW PRESSURE), BED UNCOMFORTABLE - BREAKFAST EXPENSIVE BUT STAFF AND FOOD GOOD. PAID B&B DOUBLE ROOM £54 + £10 FOR BREAKFAST. THE ROOM WAS PROBABLY WORTH £45!!...IF THE SHOWER HAD WORKED PROPERLY AND THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE. IT'S A 2 STAR HOTEL.

The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, particularly the bar and wait staff. The Fairway is very busy at the weekend but it was never difficult to get someone’s attention and assistance. The menu - while not overly extensive - offered plenty of choices and proved to be very good value.
The floors on the first floor are very squeaky and the hot water in the bathrooms is really hot, something we’re not used to in Australia.
The venue itself is well situated with easy access to the motorways and main cities nearby.
We’d stay there again.

Booked a room for 2 adults and a child under 1 year old, our allocated room was not accessible by with a pushchair so had to accept a lesser rated one.
Aside from that the hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent. Well located for motorway.

Barnsley its self has not much to say about but the hotel we stayed in would be ideal for people as a base to explore the surrounding area it was a 1 night stay for a family funeral so didnt venture far
Perfect location for what we needed, very quiet so Perfect night's sleep , front facing room with beautiful views over the countryside, good size room, everything you needed, beautiful bathroom with large rain shower very modern, bed comfortable, quite hotel overall, lovely decor in main hotel, lovely small bar area with lovely bar food, good service and friendly staff, would definitely recommend a visit if you're wanting a nice quiet stay, also a lovely old country pub with beautiful food just at end of drive, plenty of easy parking
Unforeseen circumstances arose,Trudi was ill and not able to fulfill the niceties in her house let, We were offered to be put up in a hotel but this was not at all suitable for our family,we had a conversation and come to joint agreement I would clean bathroom & kitchen & clean laundry was sent by courier,I made up two beds the linen was perfect also the towels. Also the pub on top of the road amazing so friendly & welcoming. The house was a perfect stay for us & we would definitely use it again.
The food .. wow best breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals we have had in a long time, good portion sizes and extremely tasty, the hotel staff were very attentattive and spa staff were lovely too, would definately recommend the treatments, the accommodation was a little date and needs a spruce up, but the beds were comfortable and rooms clean all the and hallways, reception, spa and eating areas were lovely and cleanand, the location couldn't be better.
Fantastic location, walking distance from Bransley town centre and there were alot of shops nearby such the ASDA, as the accommadation is self catered, having the ASDA close by was very convienent.
The hosts were quickj and responsive and answered any questions or requests that we had, we were also given a guide at the property of things to do in Barnsley, resreraunts and bars to go to which was a nice touch.
Spa, pool, pub and restaurant were amazing. Staff was incredible. We went to visit the area, specifically Wentworth Woodhouse. We ended up extending our stay for an extra night. A few snags, but apparently they are working on updating aspects of the property. Grounds are gorgeous. Value was excellent. Would return.
The cottage was perfect for us, it was lovely and clean and comfortable with all the required amenities. The location was good for us as we had easy access into Barnsley. The village was in walking distance and there was a nice country walk for the dogs which lead into a cricket meadow.
very clean and modern hotel. Slightly away from the downtown core and shopping but only a few minutes away by car. Restaurant on site and a carvery adjacent comfortable beds and rooms. we stayed here 3 times (total 6 nights) over a two week period and were totally satisfied
Breakfast was Great, and only criticism was we was on a club dinner on the Saturday, night and we was expelled from the Bar area to early into the hall way and we had problems trying to get some seating to put in hall to sit on whilst finishing our drinks and discussion’s
The hotel had everything we needed, we treated ourselves to the executive suite and it was huge.
The restaurant is really good, lots of options for all tastes, evening meals and breakfast are great. Staff are always friendly as this was not our first visit.
The building and grounds were beautiful. We
also liked that, upon request, we were moved to a “quieter” room the first night. However, the “quieter” room on the second and third night turned out to be terribly noisy due to unruly hotel guests.
The property is central location, near the shops and town centre. The bedroom is clean, the size of the bed is decent. The kitchen has fridge/freezer, air fryer and a kettle. The toilet has a choice of bath and a shower.
The apartment is clean, comfortable and modern. It is located right in the town centre. Check in/ out was straight forward and the host Dave responded to messages promptly. Look forward to staying here again.
Good location from centre about 10/15min walk, easy self check in, free parking down the side street to right of the food place in between houses. Host replies very quick😊
Convenient for Barnsley town centre and Interchange. Well-equiped shared kitchen with fridge, freezer and cupboard space assigned to each room. In quiet side street.
