The room was nicely decorated and very clean. We had an evening meal which was generous and the breakfast was excellent. There was a dressing table in the room which was very handy and they had decaf Yorkshire tea on the tray as well as decaf coffee. There was a bath in the ensuite.

We stayed one night for my stepdad's birthday, booked two rooms. Really well located just off the main high street in Bedale. There's a long stay car park across the road that is free of charge. A friendly welcome from the landlords and their two beautiful (one more excitable than the other) staffies who live in the bar (if you're not a dog person this place is not for you). Well stocked bar and a lovely little beer garden out back. I was particularly taken with the decorations in one of the ladies loos :) Lovely bright rooms, really clean and welcoming. Our bathroom was massive too. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful - fruit, cereal and yoghurt available on the bar with juices and hot drinks, with a full English cooked to order, and it's huge so you best be hungry! All in all a lovely stay and would totally recommend.
