A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!

An old house steeped in history with the same family running it for seven generations. Very friendly greeting, all staff helpful, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was well prepared and well served, so nice to have quality linen on the tables. Quite rare these days.
It was a shame and disgraceful, that another party of guests were so rude to the staff which caused upset at breakfast.
A gem of a place to stay and we wished we could have stayed longer. Very comfortable bed, which makes all the difference for a good night's sleep.
The next village along the narrow road had a couple of nice eating places for an evening meal.

We stopped in Petersfield for lunch, briefly.
There had been a market earlier, which we sadly missed, they were setting up for an event in the main square which sounded interesting.
We did spend some time in the village of Buriton, wonderful walks, again, sadly not enough time. May have to return...

From the moment we arrived we were amazed how beautiful the barn was. Cosy, comfortable and designed to a high spec. It has everything you need to make you feel you are at home. We stayed over Christmas and was welcomed to a decorated tree which was a nice touch.
Close to pubs and supermarkets, although you need your car unless you are happy to walk about 40 mins to the nearest pub. We loved it so much we’ve booked again to stay in June.

Very poor service.
Very poor service. Receptionist rude and dismissive when I arrived. Not given the room I had booked. Barely space to walk around the bed. Bar and restaurant closed at 8pm. Mini bar not topped up. No Wi-Fi code in the room. Coffee machine didn’t work. One tea bag!!
Overpriced . Avoid.

I grew up in Petersfield.
I grew up in Petersfield. It used to be a great old market town. Everyone knew each other and was a very friendly town and the same could be said for all the surrounding areas and villages.
But allas time changes and I couldn't say the same today.
Too many strangers have moved in and spoiled the whole area. For example the heath and lake. It used to be a clean quite and a safe place to walk. I couldn't say that today. It's now a dirty untidy place and I certainly wouldn't like to walk there after dark as I did in the old days.
.......accommodation, food (dinner and full English), hospitality was really good. The owners, a pleasant family of four that run the hotel and restaurant were very focused on every aspect of my stay, ensuring I arrived with a warm welcome, my stay was very comfortable and that I could continue my hike the next day, having been well rested. Although they had a large party of 30 plus for evening Christmas dinner, being on my own they still ensured I was looked after and very comfortable.
The staff at Langrish House greeted us very warmly on our arrival, making us feel most welcome. I had inadvertently made an error when making the booking which the staff kindly sorted out quickly and easily. The hotel is beautiful and set in the middle of picturesque countryside. Our room was lovely and comfortable and we very much enjoyed our breakfast cooked by Val. We highly recommend Langish House
Location is idyllic, part of a Manor House surrounded by fields and trees. 5 minutes drive from Petersfield with a pub/restaurant 10 minutes walk away.
Very responsive and friendly contact and a super easy check in procedure. The accommodation is very well equipped and to a very high spec. Can’t really fault it! Will definitely re-book if I’m down that way again.
A quiet little Inn away from all the commotion of the town/city. Friendly staff and an amazing little pub attached with delicious food! The room was very cozy and comfortable as well as very clean. The private bathroom was also very clean with fresh towels brought by every morning and a generously sized tub to soak in. Wi-Fi worked well in the area as well.
Very nice pub/inn on what was the old Portsmouth to London route. It's a bit outside of town, about 1.2 miles from the centre of Petersfield. I did expect that being on the A272 it would be noisy but that wasn't the case. The room was exactly as described with a comfortable bed, clean, good quality linen and a decent en-suite. Breakfast was very good too.
Relaxing stay in a quiet location on a country estate outside Petersfield. The town centre and shops are a short drive away. The accommodation was warm in winter weather and heating levels can be adjusted. The hosts were very helpful in making sure that everything was ready, even though the booking was made at short notice.
The hotel closed at 10. Entrance after 10 pm was via a back door accessed by a code to be inputted on the door. The doorway was completely dark and the panel the code had to be punched into was completely obscured by the dark and impossible to access. It was an unacceptable and unexpected.
Located just out side Petersfield (7 minute drive), just off a main road so you could hear the traffic but it was not intrusive. Exceptional shower. Comfortable bed, underfloor heating. Bountiful continental breakfast to the room. Box of chocolates for Valentines day.
Stayed here for 1 night to attend a wedding at a venue up the road. The room was good, spacious, and clean, and the shower etc.. worked well. The bed was comfortable.
We ate both dinner and breakfast at the venue and would highly recommend the food made at the pub.
The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Also nicely decorated. The staff were amazing and so friendly. So many gluten free options at the restaurant, please try their sticky toffee pudding! The hotel felt very homey which we loved.
The house was clean and comfortable. Chris was a welcoming host. Good breakfast. Plenty of toiletries and towels provided. Smart TV in the room, with a good internet connection. Five minutes stroll into the centre of Petersfield.
Quaint pub/hotel not far from Petersfield. It was warm, cosy, clean & friendly. Good food, staff were lovely and very helpful. I had an evening meal which was delicious. Prices were competitive and fair.
Felt like a home not an impersonal hotel. All requests were attended to by Chris who was the perfect host. The location was excellent, about a 10 minute walk from the main square.
Highly recommended.
Met Janet when we arrived. Made us feel very welcome. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. If I was holidaying in the area again I certainly would check if it was available.
Easy to find, the staff were lovely and room albeit a tad cosy was well presented with everything you'd need. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in all year.
