We had a lovely stay in the house. Very clean and cosy with comfortable beds. The owners are very nice people and left us a bottle of fizz and milk. Very attractive historic town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Attractive harbour. Good location for exploring East Kent (Isle of Thanet in particular). We visited local English Heritage sites (Richborough, Deal, Walmer) and did a tour of the Ramsgate Tunnels (all worthwhile). The Weatherspoons (biggest in UK) was an experience!

Ramsgate is a mixed bag. Sea front, marina and harbour are lovely, with some fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The town is quite rundown. Pretty harbour area and bracing clifftop walks! Great food at La Magnolia (evening meal) and Archive (breakfast), both by the harbour. If you are in to sewing, the Haberdashery is the most amazing place and not to be missed! Cheap fabrics and amazing supply of haberdashery - esp buttons galore!

The property had real character in terms of its decor, which made it different from your average place. Everything was there with regard to self-catering. Never met the owner face-to-face, but Sarah made us feel exceptionally welcome before, during and even after our stay through messaging. She quiet clearly cares about any guests she has.

Good value for money considering the location. We booked again. This place isn't the Savoy, it's a good hotel with everything you need at budget prices. There are alot of stairs so I would recommend asking for a room on level 1 if you have asthma or poor mobility.
