We liked that the local parking we used for the van was even accessible for campers. The community was really friendly, lots of people with dogs going about their day. The local Booths was a great place to get meals. We liked the kitchen so much that we didn’t go out for food locally but both pubs in the area looked quality! The roads there are small but manageable and that’s the feeling you want from a place like that anyway. I like that ours close enough for a day out around Malham. The crag walk at the top of the village also suffices for a viewpoint.

Great little town with good amenities.
Great little town with good amenities. Lot of great walks nearby. The Talbot pub good atmosphere and food, the Old naked man cafe and shop is good but have a look down the backstreets for small local independents. A walk along the river and into nearby Giggleswick is worth a visit, find Russel Harty's grave in Giggleswick church yard and have a pint in the Black Horse next door

I have never seen so many quilted jackets and boots! lol VERY popular with walkers but very quaint and bijou. It's perfectly formed and self-contained but not many options of anything Three pubs and about thirty shops. It ain't Las Vegas! but that's its charm.

Settle is a lovely and friendly market town.
Settle is a lovely and friendly market town. There are lots of great places to eat - the sit-in fish and chip shop was wonderful and Sunday lunch at the Golden Lion was great value. There are walks, of all ability levels, from the town and the Victoria Hall offers great live entertainment. There are some nice independent shops, great local butcher, as well as a couple of good supermarkets. All in all, a great place to visit.

There are lots of shops, except charity ones, just Age Concern and Swimming Baths ones. Plenty cafes, pubs, good chippy {Fisherman} but locals are not friendly. Dislike tourists? Come from Clitheroe and locals TALK to them. Not here.
Check-in was good. We arrived at 2.30pm and our room was ready. The room was a really good size and very clean. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was good. We dined at the hotel and our meal was very good. Staff were all attentive and pleasant. Location was good on main street and less than five minutes walk from train station. Settle was a really nice market town, surrounded by lovely walks. Overall, we were very pleased with the town and the Golden Lion. We would stay again.
Lovely quiet location tucked away from the road with gorgeous view of Penyghent and hills from bedroom. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Large living room and dining area. Well equipped kitchen. Close to station if travelling by train. Friendly owner lives next door if you need anything. Horton is a picturesque village where many people start the 3 peaks but we went to Chapel le Dale which was an easy journey.
The traditional English breakfast was excellent! We didn’t feel like eating until mid afternoon!
The nook where we ate and watched television was like being in our lounge room at home.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful and told us lots of interesting things about Settle.
Dinner (not included) and breakfast (included) were both excellent, with a good selection of beer at the bar. The manager (Michelle) and all staff were very friendly and helpful, steering us to the Settle Social Club where we could watch a football match we were interested in.
Excellent location with all facilities nearby - supermarket, pub, eateries and petrol. Easy access for all the surrounding sightseeing. Quiet area, lovely comfortable bed and amazing soft pillows. Ideal base for exploring the dales. Looking forward to returning in August.
Warm and cozy B&B. The hosts, Jackie and Chris were so lovely and helpful. Perfect breakfast! They have a lot of choices that you can choose from. My room was very clean and comfortable. Great location for walking around Settle. Private car park. Highly recommended!!!
A really lovely Hotel, very warm & welcoming and just a few minutes' walk in to Settle itself. Lovely rooms and a roaring open fire to greet you when you first walk in. Breakfast was good and wholesome ...... Can't comment on the evening meal as we ate out in town.
Food was absolutely first class - both the evening meal and the Breakfast.
Although on account of the foul weather I did not take advantage of the "Packed breakfast" it was a very unusual offer and an example to other Inns / Hotels in remote country areas.
Great location for getting out into the dales. Great hotel and staff and a great price. Large room with nice large window and seat, looking out onto the road. Staff really nice and friendly made me feel at home. Room is modern and well decorated.
Fabulous manor house that has been beautifully converted to a hotel and restaurant/bar. It is also a wedding venue. The real candlelight every evening is magical. The staff was attentive yet not invasive. It was relaxing to be a guest there.
The house is in an excellent location with a space for your car if needed, it was like home from home. We've been to settle before which is a lovely little town and we will be visiting again soon staying at the Top House!
The breakfast at this property was outstanding. The hosts were very friendly and knew the area.well, the location of this property is also perfect for everything. I would highly recommend it to anybody visiting settle.
Extremely helpful host, apartment very central in Settle, really clean. Apartment has character, spacious for 2 people, quiet, very close to a car park. Settle is a lovely little town and an excellent base for walking.
Great (vegan) breakfast, extremely comfortable room and very friendly staff. Powerful shower (always a bonus!).
Hotel is in Giggleswick but is walking distance to Settle centre and train station.
Great location for doing the 3 peaks, hotel staff lovely and helpful, let us put sandwiches in the fridge and left breakfast out for us in the morning. Great shower and white company toiletries!
4th time we've stayed at Linton Court and loved it again ! Very central in Settle, near the station, shops, pubs, cafes and Victoria Hall. Well equipped and warm apartment.
nice well-appointed rooms that met our needs, breakfast was excellent and the dining looked fine but we were booked elsewhere but all the hotel staff were helpful
shabby chique is the term id use , the staff are great but the Royal Oak does need some investment as it’s a bit tired in the common areas but overall good value
