This is a stunning area of Bali with the Geopark and many attractions around. Totally different pace to Ubud and other parts of the south. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of scene and pace here, and as always the people are so nice.

Loved this area, so different to the many other areas we visited, perhaps because it is cold at night and hot in the day. Lush and wilderness feeling with stunning vistas of heights and mountains, lake and village. Surprisingly upmarket spas and cafes and accomodations. Multiple hot springs each more elaborate than the next. Loved the regular village life and agriculture going on everywhere. I was hesitant to put Kintamani in our 3 week itinerary but it was unique in Bali, spectacularly beautiful and that great mix of tourism convenience but with regular Balinese life going on all around you.

    Beautiful place!

Beautiful place! But it is bali.... so expect rubbish, lots of traffic and run down places. But no matter the look, the food was fantastic and so cheap at every place we went. This isn't a party place, but if you do plenty of activities during the day, hiking, bike riding, white water rafting ect youll be in bed early! The hot springs in town- Toya desa- run down charm but loved it! Has terrible reviews online but they seem to have fixed all those problems eg/plastic over the food and allowed refund of cash if you paid by cash (not entry ticket) to load up a token you use (handy cosyour constantly in the water) Massage wasn't great but facilities good. The other hot spring- great massage! But really bad facilities and pools. Mt butar is fabulous. Sunrise hike was incredible... but its extremely cold at the top, so bring warm gear. Beginners hike but it is a mountain so no thongs/flip flops. Great place to visit for 3-5 days.

It's very beautiful place, but a lot of fly and too cold in the night (take more warm clothers). Road from Amed was too hard for our old bike. Regina bali - very tasty restoran with fresh fish.

The best view that you can find in Asia. The people are nice, there are 3 ways to reach there are a lot of options. The police also actively manage the street to get rid of traffic. A lot of nice restaurants with the best view.

I would recommend to visit Kintamani for the coffee & the beautiful views of nature. Visit Volcano Batur for a hike to see the sunrise (bring hiking shoes, wind jacket, water, small breakfast & headlight, you are not allowed to do the hike by yourself, you pay for a guide).

The location and view from my room were phenomenal! The staff were very responsive to my requests and very helpful. The room was nice, and the trip to Mt. Batur (booked through the hotel) was great! We left right from the hotel grounds, and the tour guide was very accommodating to the frequent rest breaks that I needed! lol Also, the staff was very helpful with providing rides into town and even offered this to me.

The staff provides a 5-star experience. The views were breath-taking. They booked a jeep trip to Mt Batur for a great price for me. They even took me down to see the lake by motorbike. I had such a nice time. Truly a highlight of my Bali trip. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. They treat you like family on a first-class level. Room designs are so fun. The food was very good! Very fresh. Wonderful. ✨

This place is absolutely hidden gem from busy Bali. Perfect getaway for glamping experience with a fantastic view. We got lucky to have this place just for ourselves and we were the only ones staying here. Beds were comfortable, all the amenities needed were well maintained. The staff made us a bonfire at the night once it got chilly. Highly recommend this place for staying.

Amazing property in an offbeat location. The property itself will make you go awwwww. Its beautiful, totally in a lush green place. Best part is just a walk of about 10 to 15 mins will take you to view points showing the Mt Batur's spectacular views. Bali is not just about beaches and ubud rice fields. You should definitely come to this less explored but amazing location.

We are an extended family of 9 people. The manager Mowgli gave us very good tips for trekking on Mount Batur in the morning. He organized it for us and we had a great hike! Bonus: he is very nice! The rooms were beautiful, mattresses were hard, best we had over 10 different hotels. The pool with the view was great, perfect to recover after the hike. I loved the place

I was happy with my stay because it is the serenity I need and we were welcomed by the staff very well. It takes around 10 minutes to go to Natural Hot Spring. I love my experience staying there. Recommend Pak Ketut to bring you to the hotspring also. Masakan ibu Made is so delicious. I feel the warmth of Balinese too.

This was one of the best places I stayed during my trip. The staff is so so so friendly. At night they build a bonfire and I learnt so much about Balinese culture by talking to staff. Also the trekking arranged by hotel was 10/10. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it!

The aim was to climb Mt. Batur, the Volcano, which is where the hotel sits at the foot of. It’s at the base so you can walk directly from the hotel at 4:30am and make it to the top for sunrise. The farmland is also lovely surrounding the area.
