The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.
Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.
The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.
Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

A beautiful city but the old town like many as become over touristy. Lots of the candy shops you see in lots of cities and shops selling the same tourist trash. Also all the permanent Christmas Market huts spoil the views of the old town square. Would be nicer if these were just saved for Christmas time. My advise is to see this area briefly and then explore all the other aspects the city has to offer .

I have been to Prague many times as it is my favourite city. Everything is within walking distance or easily accessible by metro or tram. Entries to museums are cheap and it is worth going. For good traditional Czech cuisine, visit Restaurace U Vejvodů, but most places serve good food.
A must is to visit Vysherad! So much Czech history, and mythology and the view is amazing!

For those fascinated by vintage cars and trams, this destination is a must-visit. With numerous architectural marvels and ample opportunities for exploration over two days, it's an ideal spot. Expect bustling crowds, yet you'll find that shops and services readily accommodate English speakers. Currency exchange was unnecessary, as credit cards were widely accepted.

A beautiful city where the visitor can wander around freely...
A beautiful city where the visitor can wander around freely feeling perfectly safe without any hassle! Booked two tours with 100 Spires. They're really good knowledgeable tour guides. Pay nothing up front and at the end of the tour pay them what you feel is a fair reflection of the quality of the tour. Both tours gave us a massive amount of detail regarding the history of the Czech Republic. Also thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Salvatore Boutique Hotel. A fully vegan hotel with lovely comfortable en-suite rooms and a great vegan restaurant called Palo Verde. Would definitely revisit as it's only 5 minutes walk to Wencelas Square and no more than 30 minutes to the Charles Bridge or Castle. So we ate at Dosa Dosa cafe - had a great Penang curry followed by cake! We ate at Strecha - again another fully vegan restaurant. The food was top notch at both places. Prague is truly vegan friendly and clearly trying to become a sustainable city too. We travelled on the tram one day. Its easy to purchase a ticket (free for over 65s and half price for 60 and over) from a yellow machine at the metro stations. Just pay for a ticket in time slots I.e. 30 minutes is 30 CZK about a pound in sterling. Longer time slots work out cheaper.
The location is very convenient. It takes 15 min walk from the Old Town Square, 10 min walk from the Wenceslas Square. There is a tram stop in front of the building. The apartment locates in a renovated building nearby Mosaic House Hotel, where the reception is available. All the amenities are available in the apartment: washing machine, dishwasher, kitchen. There is a common dryer on each floor. The housekeepers are very nice and keep clean the room everyday. If you like, the hotel also provides bicycle for free.
The location couldn't have been much better, we walked almost everywhere. The Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square were just around the corner. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel arranged for a car to pick us up on arrival which was a nice change of pace after taking trains all over Germany. It was only 390 CZK so not super expensive. The room was large and clean, breakfast was wonderful. We arrived to a welcome note and chocolates. If I visit Prague in the future this will be where I stay again.
It was such a nice experience staying at this hotel. The location is great, actually it's very close to the Old Town Square and the National Museum.
The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of alternatives.
Also, the staff was very attentive, especially at the front desk, and the facilities were really awesome. Our suite was really nice and the bed very comfortable. Besides, I loved many of the hotel decorations.
If I return to Prague anytime soon, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
The building and room were excellent, beautiful, clean, and historic. The building is right next to the Charles Bridge giving easy walking access to castle hill. It is also a quick walk from the old town square. The bus runs right outside and the metro station is only a few blocks away. The breakfast may be the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect. Can’t say enough good about this hotel.
Excellent location at the National Museum next to two metro lines (metro station is just in front of the hotel) and in a walking distance from Old Town square and other city centre attraction points. I arrived late and saw how busy and loud it was outside at the Wenceslas square, but in my room which was facing the square I did not hear any noise from outside. The room was comfortable, well-eqipped, with interesting design. Personnel was very nice and helpful.
The hotel is located at a really great spot for a young couple, it’s quiet at night and not a lot of tourist movement is happening around here, it’s right next to the palladium mall and lots of nightclubs 3 minutes away, it was close to the old town square which is great, we liked almost everything the hotel had to offer us, the staff was really nice and patient with every thing we asked for them.
The location is great, you can walk Old Town Square from the hotel. The room is quite large and clean. If you are obsessed with cleanliness, you can choose this hotel comfortably. There is no reception so you can take your hotel key automatically, so I didn't wait for check-in. You can put your baggage directly and start enjoying the city. This hotel will be my choice when I go to Prague again.
Location is perfect - less than 5 minutes walk to Old Town square. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby which was a plus “. Tram and metro stations located very closely to the hotel and everywhere was in walking distance. Exceptional service from staff and rooms were warm, cozy and very clean. Great value for money - I would definitely stay here again when I come back!
The breakfast was really good at Hotel Rott. And the location of the hotel is excellent. Charles Bridge and old Town square are close by and everything is at walking distance. We can walk around on the old Town streets at night and it was a good experience.
Also, hotel is very clean and quiet within the premises.
We had a great stay here
The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable
We appreciated the free parking right in front of the hotel.
The lady at the reception was helpful and very polite
We enjoyed the breakfast, it was good for a 3 stars hotel.
Great position, it took us 15-20 minutes to get in the old town square.
The location was very central and easy to reach. Only minutes away from the main historical sites and the old town square by foot. There is a very nice cafe outside the hotel to sit and relax at with amazing food and great hospitality. The hotel serves a decent continental breakfast.
The absolute best location if you are visiting Prague. You can walk everywhere, and you’re just right close to everything. Definitely super close to old town Square. It was super cheap too. No air-conditioning but the weather was fantastic and the location and price made up for it.
One of the nicest Hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed in a lot of City Centre Hotel's. Trams right outside the door but a lovely 15 minutes walk to the Old Town Square and 30 approx 30 mins to Charles Bridge so never needed to use the Tram or any transport
What a beautiful hotel, in the PERFECT location, it is a 5 minute walk from old town square, but it is in a quiet area. Best of both worlds. The hotel is filled with old world charm and the breakfasts are amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel
Everything is perfect, stylish room, super clean, comfortable bed. Location couldn’t be better, I’d say the best in Praha. It’s very near to Old Town Square and major attractions minus the noise and crowd.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Perfect location and easy access to the room. Nice hotel staff. Easy to get a taxi to the airport. Nice restaurants and cafés, also lot of shops and tourist attractions around. Very close to Old Town Square. Brilliant Czech food!!!
We had a perfect stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.
And the location of the hotel is outstanding. Just around the corner of Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square.
The hotel has a fantastic location, only a 10 minute walk to the Old Town Square. The staff were lovely and the breakfast very good. Our room was nice and quiet at night.
