The bed was great and shower pressure was great.
The breakfast was excellent- plentiful and varied choices.
The hotel is in an excellent situation- away from the noise of the main square but close enough to walk into the center of town easily.

There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not...
There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not enough for us. If you rush you may get it all in but it would not be enjoyable. We traveled in the off season and it was beautiful. We will return in peak season to see the gardens and enjoy all the area has to offer. Keep in mind most things close at 4:00.

Valtice is a small city with a pittoresque main square and a beautiful castle. Most of the buildings have been renovated and kept the historic style. There is a laid back atmoshhere as the town is not too touristic. Cycle tracks are leading through vineyards to Ledice and Mikulov. It is not just Valtice but three cities that are close to each other - Valtice, Lednice and Mikulov. Beautiful castles, huge gardens, a lot to see by walking, riding bicycles or using a horse carriage. Historic sites that are marked by UNESCO as a European garden.

The swimming pool with a view at the castle and the village was the absolute highlight. The staff was very friendly and always happy to help. We were also able to rent bikes from the hotel for a decent price. Would highly recommend and hope to come back in the future!
