The breakfast served was great. If you dine in the dining room for an evening meal, like we did for 2 evenings what an experience, along with a an efficient, knowledgeable, friendly staff and vey attentive to detail. The meals served were excellent. Already planning our next trip for next summer. Can't wait.

After 32 years since my last visit, I was saddened to find that the bustling daily life and historical scenes of my past recollected experience were no longer present (lots of costumed interpreters, horses and carts, auctions, active village programs throughout the day, period meals served in the food purveyor spaces). The life and character of this historical fortress apparently died a COVID death as very few individuals were around to bring to life the settlement in its heyday. Barely any animals to be seen and lots of closed buildings. Our highlight was the bakery and buying fresh bread. Unfortunately a disappointment but hopefully some federal funding can inject new life into this excellent site in the near future.

The Fortress is an amazing Canadian landmark accomplishment, a historical treasurer! We took 2 tours, the first was a Solider in period dress who shared his life story, and actually shot his rifle to demonstrate. He then escorted us to one of the homes, where we were met by a woman in period dress who shared life in the household and the history of homemade hot chocolate which she had prepared for us. We also booked a private tour; our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of the Louisbourg fortress! Every building we entered had amazing people in period dress, sharing stories of life at that time...this experience is where history truly comes to life. Thank you Canada!

Louisbourg is a really cute piece of Paradise, very small and quiet. The Forteresse is amazing. We really enjoyed our time there . So much history happened in Louisbourg that we did not know about. Very entertaining and educational .

Louisburg is an amazing town with an incredibly rich history. The Heritage House reflects that beautifully with its rooms and hallways and dining areas that reflect our history. The breakfasts were just amazing and in a wonderful setting. We could walk anywhere in the town and easily access delicious food, drinks and beautiful scenery.

We had a great time visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg and exploring some country roads in the area. Staff at the Fortress was very welcoming. It was a great experience learning about what life was like back in the 1700s

As a history lover, the fortress is fascinating.
As a history lover, the fortress is fascinating. The experience is scaled down a bit due to COVID-19 restrictions but still enjoyable seeing the site and interacting with the friendly and knowledgeable costumed guides.
Cottage was fully stocked with essentials such as pots frying pan barbeque With propane. Once you walk in the door you can smell the cleanliness the place was absolutely spotless the beds were comfortable. The owner was very helpful we needed help with the TV and he arrived within minutes. Definitely will return to this property. Very reasonably priced.
Clean, comfortable and nicely-decorated, with plenty of private parking right next door and a choice of good restaurants a short walk away. We drove, but you could walk to the Louisbourg Forteresse, which is a must-see attraction. The home-cooked breakfast at the Inn both mornings of our stay was the best I’ve had for years!
We had a great stay! Only a couple of minutes from Fortress Louisbourg. Excellent food for the dinner menu - we had Beef Bourgogne and Lobster Mac'n'Cheese - we loved them. The dinner building (The Bothy) also has a nice area to relax with a drink and it sometimes has music. We'll be back.
The Inn was fabulous! Clean, comfortable, and the Inn keeper went out of his way to accommodate our needs! My daughter is vegan and her breakfast was fabulous! We truly appreciated this kindness. We would absolutely stay at the Cranberry Inn again!!!
Cranberry Cove Inn was absolutely beautiful, spectacular host, and the homemade breakfast prepared was out of this world. This is the place to stay overnight if visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg, Cape Breton. You will not be disappointed.
The location was awesome. The place was more than comfortable and extremely clean. Only met the gentleman that owns it, he was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again and would also recommend it.
Lovely Inn in Louisbourg. Nicely furnished, comfortable. Very well located in this small town. Tourism is still low but if you are going to stay in Louisbourg, this is one of the nicest spots. Nice owners too.
We stayed for one night to get a fresh start going to the fort. Nice little cottage, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Darrell was very nice and helpful. We would stay again.
Good place to stay for visiting Louisbourg not far away from the fortress. Nice room in a heritage house. Checking in was easy without any contact to the staff
