There are some gorgeous parts on the edges of Penticton and the outskirts, like right down by the water, around Skaha, and Naramata. Inner Penticton offers lots of excellent and unique shopping opportunities. There are many walking and hiking opportunities, and their museum (in the Library) is among the best I've ever visited. However, there is a considerable problem with the homeless population which grows and grows. I'm concerned for them, clueless as to how to help, but also I feel uncomfortable and (at times) unsafe as I'm informed that the drug problem plays a part, and drugs make people unpredictable.

Just went there to explore some of the back roads around Penticton- OK Falls-Oliver Osoyoos area. I didn’t go there for the beaches or night life. BTW if you need emergency care for any reason don’t waste your time with walk in Clinics. Go straight to Hospital Emergency. At least you are dealing with professionals.

This is an absolutely gorgeous vacation place , love it and we go back every summer … I specially like going during their Peach Frstival, lots of activities and shows to see …. My favourite are the free night concerts, it’s a great place to enjoyed with friends and family ( even the teens/ young adults like it)
Everything is close by so you can walk everywhere, the beach and beautiful lake just steps away from most motels …. It’s a magnificent place to visit
Lots of great dinner options and most motels units have a little kitchen, you can save by cooking breakfast and lunch , snacks, drinks etc .
WE LOVE PENTICTON 🥰🥰🥰

Despite a disappointing hotel we stayed in, we thoroughly enjoyed renting e-bikes and traveling the KVR for 6 hours. Visited the Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. and enjoyed a cold beer after a long and hot ride. Also try the Neighbourhood Brewing pub in town for great food!
It was Peach Fest weekend, so the free music concert in the park was nice on a warm, breezy evening.

Touristy town with beautiful sandy beaches and a refreshing breeze. The Slumber Lodge is in a great location directly across from the beach. Everything is in close proximity and is very walkable. Check out Gyro Park (host to numerous events), the Farmers' Market and all the wonderful shopping and dining experiences. For some great Mexican food and atmosphere we recommend Tequilla Vallarta on Main Street. We look forward to our next visit!!!

Perfect location for an e-bike trip, Penticton is very central to the amazing network of Okanagan cycling trails. We did 158km in 3 days, cycling Penticton-Naramata, Chute Lake-Myra Canyon (Chute Lake area NOT recommended for cycling) and Oliver-Osoyoos. Penticton had everything we needed in terms of services and the hotel we stayed at was ideal. Most noteworthy: EVERYONE in this town (and I'm not referring to tourists, but locals) seems so HAPPY. Must be one of the most smiley-happy places. Loved our stay and the friendly people.
The room was larger than expected. Had a great outdoor area (although closed for the season). Good parking even though shared had lots of room to park options. Had a large kitchen, nice interior with a bright vintage vibe better than other hotels and motels I have visited and found a great deal. Tv with Shaw, air conditioning worked great same with the heating. Provided nice shampoo, conditioner, and soaps not the standard low quality, with unique refreshing scents (took them all home).
The hotel owner is above and beyond accommodating to the guests.
The room was very clean and had all hard floors and tile which I really liked as compared to carpeted hotels.
The beds were very comfortable and one bedroom had a separate door, a one bedroom suite with a second queen in main room.
The fridge was clean and there was a full size stove and oven plus a bbq just outside which are more than adequate for storage cooking a complete meal.
I was upgraded to a Queen with a kitchenette, and it was very handy! The room was very quiet, absolutely spotless, and very charming. You cannot beat the location, and the price compared to similar properties in the area! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Penticton, especially if they don't want to stay downtown, but still want to be close to a lake.
It was Close to the beach and this was potentially the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My children noted what looked like a vomit stain on the couch. Tv was ridiculous.. the running joke was who wants to watch a show on the little Tv box. Lol. We made the best of it and the staff were fine but shape up or ship out and ship that one out and on down or maybe gut it and start over.
We asked for a different room as the first one was not very good, and the employee put is in another room, which was fully updated. It was clean, had a large king bed, A/C, and smelled clean.
We also had initially booked for two nights, but were moving onto another city the 2nd night and the hotel only charged us for one night. Very appreciative of that!
A beautiful building, formerly a private apartment with attractive kitchen and lounge available to guests. Self serve breakfast but limited options available. Wonderful location across from lake with restaurants nearby. Many little convenient touches in the room. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. More like staying in a friend's home than a hotel.
The location of this hotel is right across from the beautiful beach! The staff were very accommodating and even provided an upgrade at no additional charge and were very friendly. Being new to the area, they were quick to share local maps and resources too. I will be back next time I am in the area! : ))
The place worked for our quick one-night stay in Penticton. Location was convenient but you have to drive everywhere to go get groceries or eat out. It's right next to the lake, so if you're there to sit and relax at the beach, then this is the place to go.
exceptional place, great location, wonderful staff, super clean, lived the big corner tub, and sink/bar fridge/tiny kitchen area in a hotel room, concierge (Jordan?) was amazingly helpful, thank you. we ended up loving Penticton (our first stay there)
There were no taxis at the airport. We arrived at 9 pm The hotel is a long ways from the airport The hotel could not provide a shuttle. We were stuck trying to find a taxi and had to wait quite a while. Didn’t get to hotel till almost 11 pm
Location was as good as it can get in Penticton, right on the beach near many coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beds were very comfortable.
It's always a reasonable place. We stay there every time we come to Penticton as it's in a great location. The guy that checked us in was awesome. It's clean and the beds are comfy.
Ideal location with walkable access to many of Pentictons attractions. Our kids loved the pool and we’re in it constantly. Great entertaining space for large groups.
I understand that the weekend we went was the busiest of the year, but too much money for the room.
I don't think I will go back k or recommend this hotel
