Ukee is great place to visit any time of the year.
Ukee is great place to visit any time of the year. The beaches are more rugged than Tofino which makes for dramatic storm watching on windy days. There are some good restaurants and a grocery store, liquor store etc. If you're looking for raging night life, this is not the place. If you're into being outside, it's great. There are tons of trails, beaches and lookouts to explore.

Wild Pacific Trail was highlight; Jiggers Fish n Chip truck is a MUST for the freshest & tastiest good quality meal. Proximity to the beaches and National park and Tofino, but without the tourists.

Loved the proximity to the ocean.
Loved the proximity to the ocean. Great hiking trails in the area and quite a few good restaurants. Enjoyed the low key, unpretentious vibe. We aren’t surfers but it looks like a fantastic place to surf.

Black Rock Resort was an amazing boutique hotel to visit.
Black Rock Resort was an amazing boutique hotel to visit. Their restaurant was so good I ate there 3 times!
Drift Spa at the resort swept me away with four hours of endless Thalassotherapy. They use the cleanest, best skincare on the planet, Seaflora Skincare. Loved my treatments and left stocked up on Seaflora.
Pluvio Restaurant was an experience of its own. We spent 3.5hrs slow food feasting. Peach salmon, hum dogs, pork belly and so many tasty artistic plates that gave us food babies! The chef is truly an artist the way he presents his flavour creations. At one point he gave us these deep fried tomato slice shaped pastry with salmon roe and a creamy sauce… perfect sweet n savory we talked about it for hours!
Pacific Trail was nice, South Beach, Wyat Point… it was all a really nice experience. Heartwood Cafe traditional Benny used real pea meal bacon, which no one out west seems to know about - but that’s how u make a real eggs Benny. Ukee has it all.

Ucluelet is a fantastic little village next to the ocean with great hiking or running paths and beautiful views that you will not see elsewhere. It is not overly commercial and the people are extremely friendly. It is a wonderful place to decompress and get some fresh air.

Facility is well appointed, all one needs for a comfortable stay. Very much as described in booking. It is out of the way, quit, near the water. Comfortable pillows and mattress. And close to eating establishments. We would have liked the room made up each day as in making the bed.
The room was so clean, beds comfortable and the wifi is the fastest I've seen during my trip through BC! Seems like each room got its own wifi and as a videographer I've been able to upload all my shots on my cloud in minutes!
I highly recommend this place to visit Ucluelet and Tofino at the same time as both are only 30-40min drive from each other and the prices are much more affordable in Ucluelet.
Thanks to Glenn and Dianna who owns this place with their smile and kindness! :)
It's a really nice secluded camping area way off road. It's calm and peaceful and the owner is super cool.
If you're looking for a good outdoor experience, then this is it.
Keep in mind, this is not a luxury experience. It's basically camping in a cabin with a heater. Don't expect hotel luxuries like electricity, wi fi or running water. These cabins were literally built from scratch by the owner, so you will have a roof over your head and a mattress.
The motel looks very sketchy from the outside like it’s been abandoned. The inside is out dated like an old motel but did have a full kitchen and separate bedroom/ bath and was clean. The value is excellent for the west coast way cheaper than other pet friendly options however your expectations shouldn’t be high. It was a clean and affordable which was what we wanted. We were out exploring the whole time so only really slept there.
What a beautiful hotel this resort is! Clean, spacious room with stunning view, wonderful location with easy access to the town center of Ucluelet, professional and friendly staff. And the resort is located at the trail head/end of the famous Wild Pacific Trail which is a must when one visit Ucluelet. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and have planned to stay here again in our future trip to this area.
One of the nicest places I’ve stayed at on my trip.
- Very clean room with a pretty view for every room.
- Very hospitable staff, whom I found accommodating.
- Parking availability was awesome.
- Close by to groceries and restaurants in town. 5-7 mins away from any trail start point. Around 30 minutes away from Tofino (town); between 15-20 from the beaches. Excellent location overall.
The suite is like a home from home and contains everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great view of the ocean and lots of walks near by, plenty of breakfast options supplied in the fridge and cupboards for you to use and wonderful balcony to enjoy breakfast/coffee. Ucluelet is a lovely village/town and the whale watching and kayaking exceptional.
The staff lady was very friendly and went out of her way to show us to our room and make sure everything was in order. The room was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The balcony was a nice feature, as was the beautiful view of the harbour. We would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay if travelling to Ucluelet.
The location was great, great for hiking all the trails & close to Tofino to drive & explore there. The kitchen is very well stocked & with quality dishes, pots and pans. Plenty of towels. Wood floors are beautiful. Would love to stay here again! There is also a grocery store close, they carried everything we needed.
The view was nice of the inner harbour and marina. The location in "Ukee" is superior to being in Tofino ( which seems to be overpriced in general catering to foreign tourist money ?
There is a lovely cafe on Peninsula Drive in Ucluelet called Heartwood.. great breakfasts and dinners.. ! friendly staff ! :-)
It is located close to everything in Ucluelet. The pacific west coast trail is literally right outside your door. The couple who own and maintain the building do a terrific job and they were really easy to talk to. It was very clean and cozy.
Super room. Large, comfy bed. Lots of parking. Appreciated the complimentary snacks. Keycode sent in advance so quick check-in. Tons of stuff to do in the area but you need a car. Preferred Ucluelet to the more well known Tofino .
The accommodations were clean and spacious and contained everything we needed. A covered outdoor sitting area was a nice feature also. The suite was decorated with some stunning photography taken by one of the owners.
Everything about the stay was excellent, Nancy and Fabian are gracious and kind hosts, the breakfasts are 5 star and the accommodations are very comfortable. Fabulous on all measures. The views are postcard worthy!
Ucluelet is beautiful and worth going to check out. We did a whale watching tour and the pacific rim trail which was super nice! Everything closes super early in the village so make sure to get supplies first thing!
The house is great and fulfills all needs for vacation in Ucluelet. It's clean and comfortable. It's walking distance from the start of the Wild Pacific Trail - Lighthouse Loop, which is the most famous part.
Very convenient location for accessing Pacific Rim Park Reserve. Price is OK considering the skyrocketing prices from Ucluelet to Tofino. Front desk was helpful and friendly. Room and bed were comfortable.
The location overlooking a fresh water estuary at low tide across the bay from Ucluelet was spectacular. We saw eagles fishing and drinking fresh water from the stream twice a day .
Lovely resort hotel. Food was excellent. Not a lot to Ukleulet. Apparently a couple of excellent restaurants but otherwise not much. Good beaches nearby.
