Steamboat Springs is a superb ski resort with a wide variety of runs of all difficulties. With two large supermarkets in the town a few km away, self-catering in the well equipped kitchen is easy. The free shuttle to the base of the lifts could not be more convenient- it leaves from your door and drops you off at the base village a short walk to the lifts and services. Take in the lovely view over the valley while relaxing in the comfortable lounge / dining area.

The town of Steamboat is nice but expensive and not really set up for vegetarians except for Mexican/ Asian restaurants. Dinner for a family of four at a decent sit down place is $100 at least. It's easy to get around on public transportation and if you stay at a place that offers it's own shuttle the convenience of getting to the resort increases.
The ski resort is excellent and if you're coming for the slopes I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The mountain is not groomed well and the trails are not marked well. The lift staff need more supervision in some places as they are not attentive and not directing traffic during crowded times. The mountain needs a bathroom facility at the top of Sunshine, Sundown and new gondola lifts.

I liked the proximity to ski lifts walking with skis & in ski boots or snowboards. I loved unit had bathtubs & full kitchen, even if you didnt want to cook. Makes it nice for breakfast or could stop for lunch. I loved the jacuzzis. Unit beds were great! Could stand different comforters or new blankets. But as a rental & a landlord myself understand why they had what they have, easy to wash & reuse.

A very walkable city, and still with free mass transit if you want it. Lots of very good food options, and unlike the mountain itself, everything was open. The Mountain is pretty much completely shut down, with few restaurants or shops even open.

The room was clean and cozy and easily accommodated 7-8 people, which was perfect for my group. The breakfast served at the hotel was okay, but nothing too exceptional.
What really made this hotel great for skiers and snowboarders is that the bus to the ski resort is right outside the hotel! This was incredibly convenient and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Since we came primarily for skiing, this made the hotel all the more appealing.
Large size rooms and plenty of closet and storage space which was great for our ski clothes. Lots of great sitting places in the hotel to hangout with family. Super friendly staff, especially David. The shuttle was very convenient.
In previous reviews from a year ago, people said that there was a hot water issue. That is not the case anymore and there was plenty of hot water in the showers and faucets.
Property is pet friendly and clean. They did an excellent job renovating the rooms and some rooms have small balconies. Summer or winter, you are right on the mountain so you an walk/ski to any of the mountain related activates. Most of the staff is friendly but very appear to have just started working at the hotel, so their ability to resolve issues is limited.
The location was in the heart of downtown steamboat. We walked to everything. Very friendly staff. It's not your upscale hotel, so if you need anything they were prompt to bring it to you. I liked how they didn't go into your room unless you asked. I do suggest if you can't do stairs Especially with your luggage to request the bottom floor.
My wife and I loved all it!! We arrived it was a beautiful day we sat and relaxed by the pool the room was awesome had dinner, got up the next morning and had coffee by the fireplace of the beautiful entrance of the hotel staff were wonderful.
The hotel is pet friendly, but you need to confirm with the front desk before you go! The room was spacious with a microwave and a small fridge. Free coffee and various choices of hot tea in the lobby which is very convenient for travelers!
Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Pool hot tub and outside bar were great. The hotel is in a good location 5 mins drive to all downtown bars and restaurants.
This is a great hotel. The staff is so nice and personable. They were so helpful in planning our stay in Steamboat Springs. I highly recommend this hotel!
