Wonderful mountain town that was actually featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Great place if you want to get away and get a wonderful vibe for the color season and Christmas time. How to recommend the area and highly recommend the accommodation.

Beautiful area, and going for the Gold Rush Days and Burt's Pumpkin Farm are great. Just pick a GREAT hotel, but be prepared to pay an ENORMOUS amount of money for your hotel. All the prices are jacked up because of the weekend tourism. We actually ate in Cummings because alot of the restaurants close in Dahlonega during the festival days.

Dahlonega is a college town, with a nice downtown area.
Dahlonega is a college town, with a nice downtown area. There are many good restaurants to choose from. There are some great shops if shopping is on your agenda. Dahlonega isn't in the mountains but not far from them. It is an hour drive to Blairsville, GA through the mountains and there are several access points into the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest. Helen, GA is not very far from here either. We enjoyed being central to so many different locations. Also there are many hiking trails in the area, most include waterfalls.

We visit this area regularly since my son enrolled as a Cadet at the University of North Georgia. There are lots of varied activities to do in Dahlonega and the surrounding area. We always find new things to try and meet the nicest people during our stays. We look forward to our trips and will probably continue visiting this region even after he graduates from UNG.

Great getaway.
Great getaway. Def do some sort of a wine tour, (we used JBS and Jim and Kristy are fantastic guides) Georgia has surprisingly great wines. It’s also 30 mins away from Helen, which is a completely different vibe and also worth checking out. Cost of trip is budget friendly.
Breakfast included was good (eggs, grits, bacon/ham, biscuits). The waiter staff was very friendly.
I asked a woman at the front desk for things to do in the area. She was extremely helpful and went out of her way to show us all the main attractions and places to hike.
Use the stables next to the hotel, if you plan on riding horses. These are the friendliest people we've met and they really care for the horses too (we watched them do it from a distance and then stopped by to talk)
Lauren is the manager and she was fantastic. We were checking in after hours and she sent us a text message clearly explaining what we needed to do. After we checked in, I had a question about parking and at 10;00 at night, she answered me and answered my question. She was fantastic!
The place is right in the middle of Dahlonega. Parked the car and walked everywhere.
Great location, pleasant check-in experience as well as pleasant check-out experience. Room was very nice with sweeping view of mountains behind Dahlonega. Everything worked in the room and there were no noise problems at night. It was very easy to access the WIFI.
The breakfast was mediokar at best. There was either mold or coffee grounds in the apple juice dispenser and muffins were stale. Really the ONLY thing that was goo was the location. I have stayed at many Wyndham Hotels and this was not Wyndham standards.
The location was lovely with the hotel sitting up on a hill. The outside spaces were nice too. The dark night sky was a real treat (the hotel should switch their night lights off to make more of this experience).
All in all an excellent place to stay with a larger group. Nicely appointed home. Very comfortable beds. Great view. Quiet setting and only a short drive to Dahlonega but very close to some great vineyards.
The views were breathtaking, the accommodations were amazing, and Don was so welcoming, caring and informative. There is so much to see and learn about Dahlonega. Such a fantastic couple’s getaway.
The location was perfect to enjoy the town by walking to everything. The hotel exceeded our expectations from check in to breakfast to room cleanliness and very quiet.Hotel staff was very friendly.
The location was terrific. We stumbled into a festival right in front of the hotel, which was a nice surprise. We had not realied that the hotel was 15 steps off the square. Lovely facility.
Breakfast could have been a little more….a hot breakfast would have been nice…the guy that checked us in was great! So helpful and willing to do whatever we needed! Best thing about the hotel!
The room had everything you need: beds, bathroom, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It was decently clean, and beds were comfortable. The hotel wasn't too far from downtown.
Quiet with great views, unique, well-appointed and convenient to downtown Dahlonega. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy and heater was very efficient.
My favorite place to stay in Dahlonega. Always clean, park your car, and walk until your stay is over. Super nice, polite staff, easy check-in and out. Can’t beat it.
Was very pleased with our room. Property well maintained.
They have cabins large and small as well as hotel rooms and containers to stay in. Very friendly innkeeper
Basic, and good value for price. We walked into Dahlonega town center which was a 10 minute walk. Decent breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful.
