We ate at 2 local establishments, 1 of them was a brewery, the beer was very good, but the food was meh.... and the service was not very good. The other place was a barbecue place, the service was not good at all, the food we got was heavy on pepper and little to no seasoning.
The town is nice, very good location if you're into riding quads or side by sides, close to Mount Washington and hiking trails. If you're looking for more to do than that, you'll have a bit of driving ahead of you.

loved the pool and central location.
loved the pool and central location. Staff was friendly, but did not have rooms serviced daily. Fire Pit was only lit for one hour. Was booked in upstairs room. No outside bench or parking space. adjacent. Restaurants were great.

Gorham is conveniently located for hiking the Northern Presidential peaks including Mount Washington . It is a super friendly town and accommodating of ATVs, UTDs, motorcycles and families. The restaurants are casual and the food is good. Try Gorham's House of Pizza, Exile Burrito (in Berlin) and J's Corner Restaurant. I've been using Gorham as my basecamp for hiking for almost 30 years. This year I discovered the the Pine Mountain Trail. Its accessible from the center of town and offers amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks.

My stop was a quick overnight so as to get an early start on the slopes. I was in the room for about 9 1/2 hours. It was serviceable. Nothing to write home about, but the room was warm, and for a solo skier, it did what I needed it to do.
I didn't "do" Gorham. In and out.

Gorham has been hit hard with Covid loss of tourism so there are very few services available. Couple of good restaurants and that’s about it. Walmart up in Berlin. The area seems to be dominated by ATV folk, not white mountain hikers or skiers. Its a long way to Pinkham Notch
It was perfect for what we needed. My son & I went skiing at Bretton Woods. It was about a 30 minute drive & along the way we found YaYas. The absolute best bacon egg & cheese on a Kaiser roll. Skied all day & went back to the motor lodge after dinner. After skiing g all day, we only needed a place to shower & lay our heads down. Clean & quiet….just perfect & the price was right. We stayed 4 nights. Restaurants in the area were decent. Nonas was incredible.
I travel a lot and New Hampshire is my favorite when it comes to fall (autumn) trips. Strictly Moose is now in my favorite places to stay in NH. Cleanliness, friendly hosts, excellent value for money, much better than regular hotel chains. Great location in the heart of White Mountains - Close to Mt Wash Auto Road, Pinkham Notch, several state parks and hiking trails. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this place.
Room was small but comfortable and very clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. This was a great place to stay on our halfway point, traveling through the US from Nova Scotia to Ontario. Gorham is extremely scenic being surrounded by mountains. It was a beautiful spot to stay for a night. Don't think we'd stay longer than that, but it was a perfect stopping spot.
(Review is for Top Notch Inn- we were kindly rebooked there through Madison Inn since they were not ready for reopening)
Staff was amazing! Very friendly and accommodating. They had to move us to a different hotel because their hotel was not ready to reopen. Rooms had remodeled bathrooms, nice size mini fridge, and microwave. Nice location.
Excellent location for Nordic skiing and exploring the mountains. The hotel's history - and the history of travel and tourist around Mt Washington - is displayed around the hotel and they even have a cabinet of artifacts from early times. Lovely place. I'd go back.
We stayed in the same hotel a year ago and was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the availability of someone to attend to us upon late check in. The breakfast was great to start our day's hike as well. The sunrise was beautiful that morning. Thank you!
most restaurants were closed tuesday and wednesday in Gorham. Town and Country had a nice, clean restaurant that looked over a golf course. Food selection was great and staff terrific. This is my second time staying at T. and C. and will return.
Breakfast was fab! The reception was seriously lovely people! They’ve helped us so much with our booking and finding a nice spot for to lunch and dine in. Also the view of the mount Washington from the hotel is seriously fabulous!
