The staff has amazing English, at check in I “thrown off” by the different location. However, I was treated with patience and a gentle reminder in the fine print of the email, we would be in an annex. We had a little walk to the annex..the room(s)were beautiful and much to our happiness, the annex was closer to the Abbey which we were planning to visit the next morning. Also it is away from the noise of the Main Street. Had a drink at their restaurant! If staying overnight which we did, pack light!

Amazing location! Rooms very delightfully decorated and well appointed. Directly across the street from the free shuttle to Mont St Michel and a great huge gift shop. Great breakfast as well.

Good basic breakfast with scrambled eggs (important!). Great staff. Coffee and tea in room complimentary. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent location, just steps away from restaurants and shuttle to Mont Saint Michel. Great value. Very convenient parking (paid).

we knew there would be crowds - so we wanted to see it at...
we knew there would be crowds - so we wanted to see it at night. arriving at 10:30pm, we found our room (finally) and took off to explore with a bottle of wine, a baguette, some cheese and dried meats - and had a glorious experience with not another soul about . . . wandered til 2:30 am and got spectacular photographs and had a wonderful time. got up at 8:30, had cafe & crepes, and left the isle at about 10:30 just as the masses began to arrive. trust me - do it like this . . .AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Beautiful place to visit steeped in history but extremely crowded all day long. Only quiet and empty at night but everything is shut then very early and difficult to find a place to eat. The car park is extremely expensive and dreadfully overpriced. I paid €34 for overnight stay in a disabled Car park for which I had a blue Badge. Thought this was exorbitant and a terrible rip-off! However, there is no choice because shuttle bus is so far away from the Mount.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Great to spend the evening on Mont st Michel but aim to arrive by 7pm to enjoy a meal before all the restaurants close. You can look around the island once all the day tourists have gone home. I recommend getting to the Abbey when it opens, or just after, agsin to get ahead of day trippers. One night on the island is sufficient. You need to be mobile. Steps too steep for wheelchairs and push chairs.

Awesome MSM!
Awesome MSM! Lots of people, very hot and lots of steps but very rewarding when you get to the Abbey. Fun shopping, and good restaurants. Avoid summer time that's for sure. A "must" to eat lamb of salted meadow from Le Pre Sale restaurant. Very authentic, delicious and good presentation. Shuttle service is a plus, you can visit anytime till 11:00pm.

Mont Saint Michel is an iconic monument in France. It is not easy to get to by public transport and if you have a car you will have to park on the mainland and walk, or take the shuttle to the island. But it is well worth it. Try to time a visit for early morning (Abbey opens at 9h30) before it gets too crowded.YvetteSouth Africa

The location is off the hook, you're right there in the thick of it all and early and late you have the island to yourself. The views from nearby are wonderful; from the room itself maybe not so much, as the buildings are all over each other, tiny passageways between buildings, that's the nature of the place. If you drive, be sure to get the code for the correct parking lot and follow the directions; we did and it worked like a charm.

This navette is the same that takes you from the bus stop if you are coming on the bus. My single room was very small but enough for me.
