The Beachfront is exactly what it sets out to be. Very comfortable accommodation within steps of a great beach. Need a car as even the facilities of Marriott Hotel are quite a long walk. However, if you want good quality, spacious and well equipped accommodation with good views, a seafood restaurant and a small shop on site, its perfect. Less than 50miles from Lisbon, Obidos only a few miles away. Great place to wind down. I will likely return

You need a car.
You need a car. The area is stunningly beautiful with miles of white sandy beaches. Some days the surf is too fierce for sea swimming but Obidos Lagoon provides a safe and calm place to keep cool. My son is a manual wheelchair user so the cobbled pavements were a little hard work but not un-manageable. We were only there for one week but would like to do a longer trip and review/report on accessible beaches. We went to the lagoon and carried him to the water - luckily we could do that between us. A couple of us walked on the beach from Praia Del Rey to Obidos Lagoon and had a nice meal at Rio Cortico Lagoa - nice fresh caught fish of the day :) Taxi's were great and locals are really friendly and helpful.

We thought the atmosphere was lovely - whilst it is a luxury hotel, it also feels laid back. We're coming back to the area in spring and we already know where we will be staying.
