Truly great experience! The design of the hotel is beautiful and intriguing, the room is classy, spacious with bright opnings on nature. The private onsen is a fabulous experience (after 14 years in Japan), the diner was very good, the breakfast in the room was delicious.

Our stay at the place was short but sweet. We arrived later than expected and missed out on the dinner but the host was really nice and showed great hospitality. We had breakfast in the morning and it was great. The place was cozy and warm as it was raining outside.

Beautiful landscape in a quiet and relaxing area. Good location with supermarket 7km drive away, and 30 minutes drive to Fujimi panorama resort. Hot tub is refreshing after a day in the snow. Good size for a small group.

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.VillageOneJapan

The breakfast is amazing and there are so many things to do in this part of Yamanashi. Having an onsen in the hotel is so nice after a day of hiking.
