It was a first for us to stay in an island location that we were content to never leave. Meads Bay has beautiful beaches with great restaurants. We did explore the rest of the island a bit and found we were happy to return to Meads Bay for swimming and sun. If you are looking for snorkeling, it is not the place to go.

    Perfection.

Perfection. Stopped by the other side of the island where a couple other 5 star hotels are located and they were encountering seaweed. Meads Bay was pristine, see the fish in the water, clear blue. Plenty of food and drink options as well along the beach. Meads bay food options are delicious but a bit pricey. Would recommend Shoal beach as a good second option if you're looking for more of a beach shack vibe for good food and lower prices. In summary, Meads for nice dinners, Shoal for good casual lunches. Blanchard's sit down restaurant was by far our favorite dinner spot on Meads. Straw hat was an ok dinner but really good and affordable breakfast. Found Mango's to be overrated, wouldn't recommend other than the view. Tropical Sunset Restaurant & Bar on Shoal is highly recommended, great food and then you can walk right out to a beach lounger after you eat.
