Crowded, touristy, beautiful, all the things that everybody knows about Queenstown are true. But nice to have what tourists need crowded into a small downtown. Traffic in and out is a small nightmare, which surprised me.

Takes a bit to get used to. The town centre has tourist prices but if you can travel out a bit you get way better local price.

Did I say great food. Recommend 1876 pub. Best price!!!

We loved Queenstown - small but very pretty on the Lake Wakatipu. The Gondola ride and the activites on the top are must do's . We did the Luge and Para gliding with G Force (they are excellent). Must try the Ice Bars, visit Patagonia for the super delicious sinful icecreams, and must stroll down the waterfront and the beautiful Queenstown Garden. Have dinner at the Jervois Steak House and stand in long lines but do get a burger from Fergi's . Glenorchy is a must do too with lots of stops to admire the views, click pictures and enjoy the day

Queenstown is just beautiful in Autumn.
Queenstown is just beautiful in Autumn. The colours were divine, and the snow on the mountain tops was just beautiful. We drove to many places, but also missed going to places due to not having enough time. Plenty of restaurants to eat in, shopping close by. Airport close by. I found the Kiwi people to be friendly and helpful.

Queenstown has a great vibe, relaxed yet bridling with energy. When the weather is fine there are few places on earth that are more beautiful or good to spend time enjoying.
Excellent lake activities, the "Million Dollar Cruise" is a must!
The gondola is also a "must do", leading the visitor to the opportunity of outstanding walks into the neighbouring mountains, the thrill of the luge or a relaxing drink in the excellent bar
We love staying in The Rees Hotel & Luxury Apartments. I am always a bit anxious when travelling with families. But I'm glad we had a decent stay for 5 nights. The hotel apartments are beautiful and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Kids' meals were NZD12 in a big portion(See photo fish and chips). Hotel service was great! The location, the views, and everything else were just wonderful! Highly recommended it if you are going to queenstown.
We had decided to stay an extra night in Queenstown and as our hotel was already booked out booked in to this hotel for one night. I would stay here again as it's a small hotel in a central location. The room we had was slightly below street level so was a little dark but very quiet. There is a guest laundry provided which was greatly appreciated. This hotel is close to the park and central Queenstown and is great value for money
Great arrival at reception and lovely view from the room. The rooms are well setup and very comfortable. The central hotel areas have a really relaxing aesthetic with good use of dark colours and timber.
We liked that the hotel was slightly outside of Queenstown as it was nice and quiet but if you want to be a part of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown you might want to consider alternative options.
The #5 apartment was spacious but very dated i.e. a plastic couch, really cheap decor. In the bathroom, the tub should’ve had some kind of Slip guard and a bar to hold onto.
It was very convenient and kitchen well appointed, appliances cheap quality. Bed was very comfortable.
Good view of lake, but noisy with tour buses outside.
Definitely needs to be updated in terms of decor.
The property is so kid and family friendly. We spent our Christmas here. the view outside the house is so stunning. The view is so breathtaking specially during the sunset.. Very near queenstown skyline. Complete amenities, very spacious and clean. Very kind and considerate host. Highly Recommended, Best Value for money.Looking forward to staying here again.thank you!
The bed was extremely comfortable - it's hard to get a comfy pillow when you are travelling and the ones here were exceptional. The breakfast was very good with heaps of variety. The hotel was quiet and restful. Nice position away from the centre of Queenstown, which has major traffic/parking problems due to overdevelopment.
Really modern and clean, great location just a short walk from the centre of Queenstown. Staff were super helpful and friendly. This is a perfect base for a stay in Queenstown. The room is compact but perfect for what we needed. Loved the vending machine for hot drinks - hot chocolate is the best!
This is a unique, boutique style hotel. Small, with a homely feel to it, and decorated to a high standard. The location is great, close to town, and easy to walk into Queenstown centre. Access to free NZ products (like soft drinks and chocolate) was a really nice touch.
The location is a short drive from the centre of Queenstown - but is well worth it (especially if you have a hire car) It is quiet, lovely restaurants and cafes nearby and also in the Hotel itself. Staff were always pleasant and attentive.
Loved our stay here.
Room was very clean and modern, lovely staff. Location was great - close to shops and restaurants near the airport but was away from the traffic and crowds of central Queenstown. There was a water taxi available out the front of the hotel to go into QT
great location - walking distance to the main Queenstown centre to access food/drink/supplies
we went for a friends birthday dinner so ease of walking to and from was essential!
very affordable - which great given the cost of flying to Queenstown
Great location to centre of Queenstown. Bit of a walk up hill and shower in bath ,so if note if not so mobile. Manager was lovely and 2 bedroom unit comfortable & clean. Queenstown isn’t cheap to eat out so good to have kitchen.
Location was great, central to Queenstown township. Breakfast was good, bacon was overcooked though. Hotel itself is bit outdated I.e the interior could do with new carpet/ paint but otherwise fine. Conference set up was good.
Its near the centre and everything. The apartment was equipped with everything u need, its feels like home. The view was amazing. The apartment super clean and the toilet even has bidet. Love this place, highly recommended.
Only real plus for me was the restaurants at the other hotel at the bottom of the hill, which had good food and staff.
Also, the fact we could get the water taxi over to the centre of Queenstown and back was good.
The hotel was in a somewhat convenient location on the top of a steep hill just outside of the centre of town. The room was small and cosy with a decent shower. Breakfast was enjoyable. Overall a pleasant stay.
Coronet View is in a quiet part of Queenstown with good views and easy access to the centre. Nice to be close to the road to Arrowtown which is well worth a visit. The hotel is set amid lovely gardens.
The location which was near the Queenstown Airport enroute into the City Centre was great for us to drive to after a long flight from Singapore to Sydney and onward to Queenstown.
The apartment is about a 12 minute drive from central Queenstown which was a plus for us.
Very cosy and perfect for up to 4 with all the amenities we needed.
