We all hated the visit at MacDonald Foresthill's Hotel Aberfeldy. After arriving late evening we checked out the following morning. Hated the Lodge (Spiders and cobweb on balcony and bedrooms), Hotel and resort require extensive upgrade. No internet in lodge, hotel and resort. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

We stayed in Aberfoyle at a campsite on the way and hotel on the way back. It was a pleasent village with a sheepdog show if you can catch it at the wool centre. I was disappointed that the wool centre didn't contain wool for crafting but wool products.
The post office was helpful and we had some nice cups of tea and great meal in the forth.
Easy to get around and a large central car park.

Aberfoyle was quite nice for a small village ,was not there long enough to give a good review. Would avoid the Rob Roy hotel if we ever returned, evening meal was a disgrace, the portion size was minute to say the least, the chef needs to rethink when sending out food for adults, we were given a 50 percent discount on the meal but would rather have had a decent meal, felt sorry for the waitresses who bore the brunt of complaint.

Beautiful location nice rooms spacious and facilities are ideal especially for families .... downside is the prices are rather steep at £11.50 for a large wine!
Kids loved the games and the swimming ... Rafters bar good value for kids meals
This property was right in the center of this quiet town. It was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. It was a wonderful place to spend the night while traveling through the area. There was a travel information center/shop right across the street. There were also a few paths to walk around in the area.
They were so incredibly kind and welcoming. There were great little nooks to tuck away and read on the main floor. And the breakfast spread was one of the best I had while in Scotland. There were only two other parties there during my stay, giving it an even more intimate feel. It a great place to unplug and unwind, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
Staff were very friendly. Jackie checked me in, and was very welcoming. The shower in our designated twin room wasn't working, so I was notified on arrival that we had been moved to two double rooms for no extra charge. It is true that the hotel needs updating, but this is clearly a work in progress. Good shower and radiator.
I love the location, I had my wedding reception here back in 2006 and returned in 2018. Now in 2022 the place is as wow factor as ever as you drive up. The food was excellent and service ok. I will return but would love the hotel back to its former glory
The location was amazing, by the side of a lake. It was a glorious day, and we could view the lake from the drawing room of the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. And good care to engage with the guests.
The surrounding area was absolutely stunning. Every view from every window was picturesque. The wait staff was wonderful. It was my first time experiencing a half board and it was a life saver the first night.
We booked this for our wedding night as we were having the wedding in aberfoyle! Can't fault it at all, the owners were so nice and accommodating, location is excellent and the views are second to none!
Grounds and hotel were immaculate, lit up beautifully at night. Our room was very spacious and clean. Dated decor but classy and had everything you needed to have a great stay.
Welcoming & comfortable. Nice pictures in hall areas & old photos & highland cows .Spacious areas reception & seating outside . Buffet breakfast good ,dinner nice .
The views at this hotel are breathtaking and we were so lucky to have a room with a balcony which enhanced our whole stay. The room was so big and very comfortable.
