The positives is it was a small local town and it was attractive. It had plenty of restaurants and ice cream bars for a different place each night. Food was reasonably priced although quality was variable.
The downside was you had to drive from there to most places and some of the roads were very bendy so often meant we were driving for long periods of time. Tip - I wouldn't recommend the step windy road to get into the town but drive the 1.5 km further to use a better road.

The apartment is in the centre of town just a short walk from the village square, there are many good restaurants and cafes.
Garachico is a small village on the coast with wonderful views and once the tourist have gone home at night you are left with a very authentic experience sharing the village with locals.

A beautiful, historic town with lots to see.
A beautiful, historic town with lots to see. The restaurants and cafes offer a vast array of delicious food and excellent affordable local wine. The sea pools weren’t open as we were there early in the season. The local shops have an interesting array of local and artisan products. Well worth a visit, just takes a little time to get there.

Nice little town with many restaurants and bars.
Nice little town with many restaurants and bars. Opening hours were a little sporadic and what was open one day was closed the next so fun walking around looking to see what was available.
The town is a charming Canarian town with lots of interesting streets and areas to explore. Some areas are a little run down and there are many empty buildings but the town retains a a lot of character and life.
This is a predominantly a Spanish town so no mass tourism.
You get a lot of day trippers so the streets, bars and coast can appear very busy at peak times but outside of this it is still possible to find the quiet and the genuine atmosphere that you have probably come here to look for.

We loved Garachico, authentic Caranian houses built on hilly cobbled streets , a good choice of restaurants although we found them to be very expensive . The coastline is truly fabulous with rocky lava surrounding Garachico's coastline We were looking forward to swimming in the natural pools which were closed due to the rough sea waters. This was understandable, but there was no reason for the Lido pool to be closed as well . The natural pools and Lido are open for 3 months from July to September

One of the most authentic villages in Tenerife, with real local inhabitants, some traditional celebrations that you can witness in the streets.
Most of the small streets are pedestrian or with very few cars.
It also has a small and nice beach in the village.
The local people are very friendly.
The temperature is more mild than on the Southern coast of the island.
Everything.
The owner is very well organized, very nice and helpful.
The apartment is very clean, very well equipped. We travel with our baby, so it was very comfortable for us to stay in this appartment. Everything you would need is available.
The localization is very central in Garachico, but it is very calm. We sleep with the windows open.
We liked the view from the window on the mountain.
We loved everything. We will definitely come back here. We recommend.
The apartment is very beautiful, well equipped, has a big terrace and an amazing view, you can see the ocean and the church.
It is a quiet place, near the bus station and the supermarket, it is in the heart of Garachico.
Clean and has all you can need.
The host was very helpful and nice, she gave us all the useful information and left us a bottle of wine and water.
Thank you and I hope to return here.
It is a large and well equipped apartment. Everything needed was provided and everything was newish and in good working order. There is an automatic washing machine but we didn’t use it . It is in an outstanding location in a very beautiful little seaside town (by a league the prettiest town in Tenerife that we saw) plus it has a balcony looking straight at the ocean where the sun sets.
I took the vending machine card by mistake form the hotel, they asked me to provide my credit card details or send the card back, I thought it was odd to ask for my card information so I suggested I transfer the money to their account, was surprised to find they withdrew money from my card. we didn’t agree on that and if they had it already why would they ask for it on the first place.
Very good stay, comfortable, clean, lovely location and great staff. Would definitely recommend. A historical hacienda, still owned by the descendants of the founder (19th generation we were told). Diner options are limited nearby but the hotel offers dining option on certain evenings, so better check in advance. Breakfast (incl. coffee) could be improved for a four-star.
We wanted to stay further from the crowds and could not have chosen a better place! We loved the gardens of the property and all the little details. Very vintage and cottage-like. Communication with Pedro was nice and easy. Breakfast overlooking the banana trees was beautiful. A little gem within El Guincho, and very close to the charming Garachico.
The room was very stylish with lots of ancient furniture. The hotel itself is a very nice building with a patio and it is located right at the beginning of the village, next to the public bathes/beach so that from the balcony there is a perfect view on the beachside. There are many restaurants nearby.
The location is excellent. It is a very unique casa. Very clean. Close to bus stop. Excellent communication with staff. Close to the square and great restaurants. Also close to the natural pools (although they were. it open! Close to great hiking trials. Muy authentico!
Collecting the keys at the hotel upon arrival was straightforward, especially since it was a code door. The staff provided clear instructions at the reception, and the check-in process was efficient. Overall, it was a hassle-free experience with helpful staff.
Nice, quiet apartment in a great location, walking distance to everything in Garachico. Very clean apartment. We parked in the Old football field parking lot, which was free and convenient. We can recommend this place.
We liked everything about La Quinta Roja. From its location to breakfast, to their staff's incredible service, every detail was top notch. We have traveled extensively and this hotel is one of our all-time favorites!
This is the perfect place for a small group to stay. Located RIGHT next to Playa de Garachico and a couple minutes walk from some restaurants, we couldn't have asked for a better place to rest. Highly recommend!
- Very clean and nicely furnished apartment, located right in the heart of charming Garachico;
- Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen;
- The welcome fruit basket was a pleasant surprise - thank you!
Perfectly renovated and designed, a real jam for design lovers. Great location close to the natural pools beach and the old city of Garachico. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the pool.
This is a beautiful, historic property situated just off the main square. Romantic, elegant hotel that was simply delightful. Above all, the quality and friendliness of staff was exemplary.
The views from the rooftop deck were unsurpassed. Location was great within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The kitchen was well appointed and living area was comfortable.
The location was the best one but f the most beautiful towns and location was center for all the places we were visiting and the house was perf ct and the restaurants were excellent
