The Radiant City
Honoured by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, the city is also known as Madīnat an-Nabiy or ‘Prophet’s City’, and it’s also known as Al-Madīnat(u) 'l-Munawwarah or ‘Radiant City’. The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or ‘Prophet’s Mosque’. Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.

Alhamdullilah . My self & my family members were very much happy about to pray in Holy Majidul Nabawi. And got the nearby Restaurant for Sahr & Iftar . Just around 400 - 500 m walk to reach Haram . This trip was really Fantastic & enjoyed .

Medina is a great holy place to visit. The weather is mostly pleasure throughout out the year (summer afternoons can be quite hot). One can really feel the relaxation in the atmosphere of Medina, especially in the Prophet's Mosque (PBUH).

As a Muslim MADINA lives in my heart and soul, I visit here at least 2-3 times a year and definitely in last 10-11 days of Ramadan since last 25 years minus 2 years when it was closed in 2019 & 2020 I believe because of Pandemic. It’s the place where I want to live a die in feet’s of HAZRAT MOHAMMAD SAWW PEACE BE UPON HIM. GREATEST PLACE ON FACE OF EARTH, ALHAMDULILLA. Local people and taxi drivers much polite and reasonable. Nice restaurants very close to hotel with great shopping area all next to hotel or maximum 5 minutes walk.

Location was perfect, Hotel Environment was good. But the Services were not up to the mark. as we asked menu for Hotel Restaurant and they replied in 10 minutes will be there - But Menu never comes. Same way we ask TV is not working and no one came to Fix.

Spotless clean, amazing interiors , lovely staff and perfect location. Breakfast was really really good and the restaurant overlooks the haram. Seriously I am glad I didn't book at another hotel and came back to madinah hilton and will definitely be back again
