Joe and Hannah's yurt was located by the main intersection in the center of Gigha, behind their shop and The Nook (Joe himself is also a talented chef!). I stayed four nights and it was the perfect homebase for me to explore the island on bike. The yurt was well-equipped with comfy beds, cookware and utensils, power outlet, high-speed internet (fast enough for Zoom calls), and a wood-burning fireplace. I also had access to my own mini fridge and freezer in the adjacent shed as well as a clean bathroom a few steps away in the main house. I enjoyed waking up the birdsong in the mornings and making a toasty fire in the evenings. I can’t wait to be back!

Perfect location, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped and bathroom felt so new and fresh. Two good sized bedrooms too. Great for our short break to beautiful Gigha, even managed to sit out in the back garden in the sunshine … what a view! Wood burning stove an absolute bonus for the chillier evenings. Sorry the pub wasn’t open but enjoyed fish & chips from The Nook and a lovely meal at the Boat House. Beautiful Achamore Gardens and Twin Beaches a delight ….and much more besides.
