Be very careful. If I could give it a zero, I would. When we arrived with my twelve-year-old daughter at the accommodation (where no one greeted us) and saw how dirty, dusty, how much damage and malfunctions it had, I immediately informed the owner and host, Mr. Sotiris P. (I know his last name and perhaps Booking should have made it known before any other booking). Not only did he not recognize the unsuitable condition of the apartment, he could not send someone (he himself communicates from Cyprus) but he also stopped communicating with us. Booking was not able to find him that same evening either. I contacted Booking by phone the same evening. You should know the following about the accommodation. Mr. Sotiris' apartment is located in a settlement and not in an organized complex of tourist residences. The quiet hours of the Akti Olivia settlement, in Gerakini, Halkidiki, where the apartment is located, are different from those listed on the Booking platform for the apartment. The first floor, where the apartment is located, is elevated and one needs to climb three stairs. The host informs about a 1st floor apartment but not elevated. Even when I was climbing the stairs looking for it, the host said on the phone that we were talking to “you climb two stairs”. I replied that there are three stairs in order to accept it. The smiling gentleman with the child in the photos of the accommodation introduced himself to me as the administrator of the settlement and informed me that Mr. Sotiris (host and owner) had no right to rent the apartment but also could not cope with his role and it would be better for me to look for accommodation elsewhere. Until the next morning, when I called the police and left the apartment (losing my vacation with my daughter), the host did not appear on Viber, which we had been communicating with until the previous day. Also, no one else appeared in the apartment to see or justify his situation..... CONTINUED IN THE NEXT FIELD
