The Best Adventure Hostel is a recently renovated guest house in San Gil, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. This guest house also has a rooftop pool. Everything was just amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful (they booked bustickets and activities for us). The owner Darío is also really nice and on Friday we received a salsa lesson from his wife, which was a lot of fun! The pool is great for the hot days. The shower also gets really hot (you don’t know how much you miss hot showers until you don’t have them available anymore) and everything is spotless clean. The location is amazing as well, everything is around the corner.

Offering city views, THIS IS COLOMBIA HOSTEL is an accommodation set in San Gil, 41 km from Chicamocha National Park and 41 km from Chicamocha Water Park. The best hostel I’ve stayed at during two months traveling around Colombia. The dormitory is spacious (I just missed a real window), the beds were the largest and most comfortable I’ve ever found in the country, the shower is perfect, and the air conditioning is a treat. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, always smiling and having good time with the guests. Just the restricted hours to use the kitchen can be a problem if a guest wants to cook dinner, but as I don’t it was no problem for me

The fine dining is unlike what I've experienced in paris, new york, toronto, Vancouver, other big cities. Unbelievably extraordinary quality and flavors of food. The service impeccable. The gym world class. The golf course amazing. The squash courts, oh my god!. The tennis courts were the best of the best, 14 red clay courts with a cadre of professionals to cater to your every need, ball boys, referees, instructors, professionals. Unbelievable. The room overlooked the golf course. Super quiet. And you cannot spend more than $200 Canadian dollars per day. The resort cost with the all you can eat buffet breakfast was $147 canadian. The massage 30 canadian. A latte $2.50 canadian. A bottle of wine, a reserve bottle, $30 canadian. Like I said, this place is more than half the price of Medellin, and three to four times cheaper than anything you'll find in the Caribbean or america. This place is golden. I will be living here for the next few years for between 1 and 2 months per year.
