Set in Malang, 3 km from Velodrome Malang, Zzz Malang Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Zzz Malang is hands down the best budget-friendly hostel in town. The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

I loved this little hostel in Banyuwangi, it was spotlessly clean, very quiet, the beds were so comfortable, the showers were amazing, the family who own the hostel live next door and are such kind helpful people. The free breakfast included is so delicious, way better than a lot of the free breakfasts other hostels include. This is the perfect spot to stay in Banyuwangi if you want to explore the surrounding area. I did the Ijen tour through the hostel and ended up doing it with a small group and a really great guide so would 100% recommend.

The welcome from the reception was kind, warm and efficient. I had asked for a high floor and a city view, first visit to Jakarta, and that is what my daughter and I got, without upgrading. It was marvellous out on the balcony watching the evening lights. The bedding was crisp, white and wonderful the pillows were great and they sent up more when we asked. Our flight was delayed the next morning so we had the entire morning there: the breakfast buffet was amazing. It was so good to have fresh green salad, chicken and veg soup, stir fry vegetables, chicken done traditionally, and poached egg as well. The avocado toast was disappointing though….sweet somehow. It was good to have cutlery, dishes, though we didn’t really use them except for the kettle to make our tea in the mugs.
