You can easily get here even if you don't have a car! Take the train or bus to Miyazaki, then take a local train that stops right next to the hostel! (just make sure to bring cash to pay the train driver) There's free bicycles to explore the area!

I loved staying in a log cabin with a cozy fire going in the wood stove. The cabin was clean and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. The location was quiet. Comfortable and large shower with good hot water pressure. I enjoyed my tasty multi-course meal of an appetizer, chicken steak with lettuce, cream sauce pasta with wild boar, and matcha brownies. All the courses had ingredients from the Miyazaki region. I also liked talking to the owner between courses. He has great stories and conversation, and I was impressed by his ability to pick up conversational English in the last 3 years. I could tell the owner has a passion for his businesses being a bartender, accommodation owner, and restaurant cook.

Set 29 km from Totoro-kō, Le Lodge Mimitsu offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. By far the best place we stayed on our road trip. So incredible and the facilities were top notch! Wish we could've stayed more cause we didn't expect it to be so beautiful. Check-in was super easy and I loved the hand written notes with my name on it. Made it very welcoming. Definitely would recommend.

Lovely little home in Mimitsu, well stocked and super comfortable. We used the hot tub which was great. The bed was so comfortable, we had a great sleep. The place is decorated very well, it's really homely but also modern.

Offering free WiFi and free private parking, The triangle hub Miyazaki is located in Miyazaki, within just 1.4 km of Miyazaki Station. This is the best apartment that I have stayed in my 2-week vacation in Kyushu. Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night (original was 2 nights) as our flight from Yakushima island was cancelled due to bad weather. Rather than flying, we took the Toppy jetfoil. Host was kind enough to adjust our stay from 2 nights to 1 night. This place has everything and better amenities/facilities than hotels. Very good experience.
