Guesthouse Imaichi ゲストハウス今市マチナカ is set in Nikko, 10 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 27 km from Kegon Falls, as well as 10 km from Rinno-ji Temple. We were in the private room, which was very nicely furnished and had everything you need. It had functional lamps with different light settings, a wide wardrobe with space for luggages, and multiple plugs for charging devices. The beds were SO comfy and the duvet was so fluffy it felt like being in a cloud. The guesthouse had everything you need, in the kitchen there is equipment to cook and the owner has thought about every small detail about what you may possibly need! The shared toilet and showers were very clean. Location wise it is only 1 stop away from the main Nikko center, so in 10 min you arrive to Tobu Nikko station from where you can start exploring the UNESCO site or take busses to natural excursions. I would totally recommend!

Situated in Nikko in the Tochigi region, with Tobu Nikko Station and Nikko Station nearby, Nikko Cottage Yurt features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The host, Sato-san, was absolutely amazing. He met us at the station, took my son & his family to their lodging, let us off and took our luggage with him. We spent the afternoon sightseeing and having lunch. We called him about 3-4 hours later when we were back at the station and told him we were going to pick up some things at the nearby supermarket before we came to the Yurt. He picked us up at the Supermarket and brought us to the Yurt where he helped us unloaded our luggage from his van and showed us how to get into the Yurt. No keys to deal with. Simple Combo lock. Sato-san begins communicating with you a few days before your arrival using Whatsapp. If you don't have it he uses e-mail which can lag behind. So, if you can set that up ahead of time, communications may go better for you.

Situated in Nikko, 1.1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, sumica apartments features rooms with city views and free WiFi. The 2-star apartment is 1.5 km from Tobu Nikko Station. We loved our stay at sumica Apartments! The main house is only a short walk from Nikko station and when we got there, we were greeted by the host. After a very smooth check-in, the host offered to drive us down the road (about a 25 minute walk otherwise) to our apartment, giving us tips along the way of all the restaurants and what they served. She even waited for us at tobu-nikko station when we quickly jumped out of the car to buy tickets to the shrines located in the town. The apartment itself was amazing. Everything was spotless and we got to sleep in extremely comfortable futon beds. The host offered to pick us up from the Apartment after checking out. Even though we got up very early, she was right on time. If we could give 100 stars, we would! Anyone thinking about travelling to nikko, definetly book your stay at sumica apartments.

In addition to spending time in beautiful Nikko, we will always remember the night we spent stargazing from the zen garden, watching meteors falling from the clear, dark sky while listening to the nearby river. In the morning we even did a Qui Gong session on the Zen Patio. We had a wonderful experience staying in such a modern, comfortable hotel unit in such peaceful surroundings.
